Hi, Every time I log in my trade activity log is disabled and my to/from dates for trade history resets. How can I change/fix this to have it stay the way I left it. I am having to go Edit>Untick Disable every single time I log in. Thank you |

When you save the Chartbook, the Trade Activity Log state is saved as well. So if you have it disabled, then that is how it will show up next time. If it is not disabled, then it should show up that way the next time as well. If you do not save, then however it was at the last save will be how the window will come back up. You should not have it coming up as disabled every time if you are saving the chartbook. So the file is suppose to show me Benchmark and VWAP and it's not showing up while before it was working fine. Now it's just a plain chart with candlesticks no VWAP No benchmarks. |

We do not know what might have occurred. First, is that a different chartbook? Did you remove the studies? If necessary, you can recover a chartbook from backups that we make. No i uninstalled the sierra chart and the reinstall so obviously i had to save the chartbook again to the data folder when i did it was not working properly like before. So i deleted downloaded a fresh copy and moved to data folder again but it was not working. The other problem i have is i have placed 4 keyboard shortcuts but they also are not working on my chart. |

If you uninstalled and reinstalled Sierra Chart, then whatever setup you had in the original installation would be gone, unless you specifically saved the files. Refer to Step #5 at the following link that gives the information on what files contain what information: Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation: Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation We can not say what is occurring with the Chartbook. You would need to talk to whomever you got that chartbook from to ensure you have the correct one and are putting it in the correct location. no but usually when i uploaded the new chart book it works and works fine it has nothing to do with saaving data because the chart book it self comes with the all the settings in it so you just have to upload the book and everything is there.

it is the same chartbook its is not changed the only thing that is changed is because i downloaded the chartbook the one already saved in my system was not working so i downloaded the new one to make sure the problem dosen't presisit but the problem presisted.

is there a option where i can reset all setting and put sierra chart back to it's default setting where is was or can you pleaase reset it and revert it back to where it was so i upload the file again and see if it works.

What is in the chartbook has nothing to do with Sierra Chart. Check to make sure you are not running Sierra Chart in "Safe Mode". This should not have any impact on the studies you are using, but we wonder if this could be an issue. The chartbook has 3 windows the other 2 windows are working it's only one window which is not working propely. if the chartbook has a problem and all the 3 windows must not have worked but the other 2 windows are working fine it's just the third window which is giving me problem.

Not to mention that there would not be any information on why a chart changed anyway. And your statement that the other charts should have been affected is not true. Hey i have resolved the chart issue. So what happened was since i downloaded the sierra chart software it was safe mode. And i have been using since 7 months like this with no issues. However, when i ask other people they told me to try unticking SAFE MODE so i did and everything went back to normal. Just so that you know if this problems arises for someone else you might be able to help them in a better way. |
