We are not having any problems on our side with regards to the data feed. Most likely it is an issue with your Internet connection. When you have this occur, please tell us the time in relation to your "Global Time Zone" setting in Sierra Chart, and get us your Message Log by following these instructions: Support Board Posting Information: How to Post Your Message Log (Required In Some Cases) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

It is strange, when I noted Sierrachart data feed has issues, IB platform is working ok! I am located in Hong Kong. The data feed doesn't work on yesterday is around HK time at 10:38pm or Chicago time at 09:38am or Eastern Standard time at 10:38am. |

The issue is the latency and the quality of the connection between your location and our servers. Interactive Brokers is completely different with the bandwidth requirements, and the location of their servers relative to your location. Try using our New Zealand server with this setting: Sierra Chart Server Settings: CME Exchange Data Feed Server Address and Port Override (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> Special) The NZ server address is given in the documentation. Set this setting to High Compression: Sierra Chart Server Settings: Use Real-Time Data Compression (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> General) And try increasing this to 1000 to see if it helps: Sierra Chart Server Settings: Remote Buffer Delay Send Time In Milliseconds (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> General) After changing the above settings reconnect with File >> Reconnect. If I change to NZ server, can I access NQ/MNQ futures historical data for back test?

That setting controls the real-time data.: Sierra Chart Server Settings: CME Exchange Data Feed Server Address and Port Override (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> Special) Not historical data. Historical data still comes from the US Midwest. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. 1)Under the blank area of CME Exchange Data Feed Server Address and Port Override => fill in "ds40.sierracharts.com" 2)Change "Use Real-Time Data Compression" from "Standard Compression" to "High Compression" 3)Change "Remote Buffer Delay Send Time In Milliseconds" from "0" to "1000" Am I correct? |

I don't understand how to change to NZ server, please advise more detail. The documentation from your link is: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This setting is for specifying a specific server address and port number to use for connecting to the Denali Exchange Data Feed for CME Group data. Normally this needs to be left blank. Although you may want to choose a particular server to connect to. It is in the format [server address name] or [server address name]:[port]. The port is optional and usually would be 10048 or 443 if specified. The following are some special addresses you can use for alternative access to CME real-time data outside of the United States Midwest. ds40.sierracharts.com (Location: New Zealand. Use for the South Pacific and Asia Pacific. Realtime and delayed data only. Not historical data.) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Therefore, I think to fill in the blank by server address name "ds40.sierracharts.com". |

The [server address name] is "ds40.sierracharts.com", do I need add "10048" or "443" like the format "[server address name]:[port]" to the blank?

The port number in this case is unnecessary. You just need to use: ds40.sierracharts.com Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
