Hey Sierra Team.
Have yall considered bringing back ICE Data to Teton?
I agree with you, that ICE is a dying exchange, probably elitist fools.
You didnt say that, I did.

But, ICE offers a whole new world to Swing Trading.

See, we have the 5 major symbols for what is basically the US stock market.
And 4 major Symbols for what is essentially the oil market.
And 4 major Symbols, for what is essentially the precious metals market. And palladium and platinum are a bit different...

But, This is basically, 3 assets, traded with roughly 12 symbols.
When the equities indexes go up, they mostly all go up. and when the PMs go up, they mostly all go up. Same for Oil.

For an Arbitrage Trader, this is awesome. For a Day trader, they dont care, they mostly trade like 1 to 3 symbols.
But for a Swing trader, this means there are only 3 assets to trade.

So, A swing trader, can trade, ES, CL, GC, ZB, NG, SB, ZC/ZW, 6J, 6E, and LE. (technically also, RR, and ZO)
BUT, with ICE, the Swing trader can trade... CC, CT, OJ, KC, SB (and screw lumber, cus they sacked all the old data.)
So, that's an increase of 50% of the tradable assets. Which means, A much higher probability of trading assets which are going into bubbles.

Would you consider putting aside the problems that exist between Sierra and ICE, and opening trading back up?

Hi LeDharma, interest in ICE Futures Trading is low, perhaps because the Real-time Data Exchange Fee is $140 per Exchange and there is no such thing as a discounted Non-Professional price. Besides the enormous Real-time Data Exchange Fees, from an infrastruction perspective it is cost prohibitive to make ICE available to individuals.

If we spoke about it previously it was only related to providing ICE Exchange Services for Firms, do I assume correctly that you are an individual trader and not associated with a FIRM?

Agree with Dharma, despite the high costs, ICE provides commodities contracts that are not available elsewhere, ie COCOA, COFFEE, SUGAR, COTTON, etc. Any commodities swing trader/trend follower can tell you catching even one trend on them more than covers the high costs. Please consider adding at least streaming delayed data, like available on Tradingview, barchart, investing.com, etc and other sites, that can be incorporated into real-time data from broker like IBKR, etc.

Hi User624595, you can work with your broker to get ICE Data into the Sierra Chart Program via CQG if you wish?

For Sierra Chart to provide ICE Data to any but bonafide Firms would be be cost prohibitive, saying cost prohibitive is a massive understatement.

Support,

ICE Data is coming into to SC via IBKR from their real-time data in live execution installation, but there is no/minimal backfill, only what is received in real-time.

In a separate SC Data/All Services installation, SC is providing some backfill. There is a long delay, around 1 day.

Could you please enable the ability to integrate these together in the same installations/instances? It would greatly improve the functionality/use of trading ICE markets in SC.

Are you referring to the log in the execution installation connected to broker IBKR realtime data, and that the SC Data delayed ICE backfill should work there?
