Hi Sierra engineering, I have a constant 2 second lag on my ES and NQ charts as shown by DD in the chart header. This has been my experience for all of this Tuesday regular trading hours session. This is odd given how slow the market is - I'd imagine the data packet load would be light if market is slow, so for the charts to be so laggy today is puzzling. The connection to your servers in recent months have been great, allowing me to switch on market depth to near maximum limit. Minimizing market depth levels today has not helped however, the 2 second lag persists. I'm connecting from Malaysia if it makes a difference? Latency to ds32 is fine with no packet loss (around 250ms, which is as good as I can hope for). |

A 2 second Data Delay is most likely going to be a difference between your local computer time and the time of the exchange. Another possibility, since you mention that the market is slow, is that there has not been a trade for 2 seconds, in which case the Data Delay will show a delay, but it is not a real delay in the data, it is just the amount of time since the last trade posted - but this is very unlikely with ES and NQ. In either case, this is not something to be concerned with at all. But refer to the following for how to update your computer clock to match the exchange clock: Global Settings Menu: Set System Date-Time from Server (Global Settings menu) Network Time Protocol Client For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
