Hello, Today I entered a trade and bought three contracts. When I tried to sell two of them, it only added them to the board and ended up putting additional sell contracts. When I tried to press “Flatten,” everything froze, which ruined the entire trade. How can I prevent this issue from happening again in the future? I trade through Rithmic and Apex, and I’m using a MacBook through the CrossOver interface. Up until now, it has been working quite smoothly, but recently, I’ve been experiencing various errors when launching the interface. What do you recommend to avoid such issues in the future? Today’s incident messed up my trade, and it was really disappointing. Thank you. |

How did you enter the Trades? Using DOM, or using The Trade Window?

Rithmic is known for dropping connections. There is nothing that we can do about it, as the software that connects Sierra Chart to Rithmic is built by Rithmic, so they need to solve it.

I didn’t lose the connection. The chart was working fine, and the numbers were updating normally. However, the command itself just didn’t execute

This is due to Rithmic not responding properly to the order. You are getting the data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed and not from Rithmic, which is why your data was still fine.

I don't know something isn’t working correctly since yesterday. Now I have a new issue I’m trading on micro contracts, and in the Trade Window, the DPL (Daily Profit/Loss) shows unrealistic numbers that don’t match what’s actually happening. How can I fix this?

For example, in the DPL (Daily Profit/Loss), it shows that I’m up over $3,000, but in reality, I’m actually down $100.

I have already followed all troubleshooting steps listed in your support documentation, including: • Resetting the Order Fills Start Date-Time in Chart Settings. • Clearing Trade Simulation Orders and Data. • Ensuring the correct account (live or simulation) is selected. • Enabling “Load Order Fills for Current Day Only.” • Disconnecting and reconnecting the data feed. However, the issue persists. When I switch to Simulation Mode, the DPL resets to zero as expected, and no trades are displayed. But when I switch back to my live account, Sierra Chart displays an open trade that I cannot flatten and shows incorrect DPL values that do not reflect my actual trading activity. Additionally, if I fully exit Simulation Mode, the live account then shows no open trade, but the DPL values are still inaccurate. I have attached a screenshot showing the discrepancy in the live account for further clarification. Could you please assist with additional troubleshooting steps or provide a solution to correct this issue? Thank you for your assistance. |

We need to understand exactly what you mean by this: Sierra Chart displays an open trade that I cannot flatten
How exactly are you seeing this? Where are you seeing this. Can you provide a chart image showing this. This is a live example. I just entered a live trade with a micro contract and lost $37 on the trade. However, in the trade window, it’s showing that I’m actually up by $898, which is incorrect. When I switch to the simulation account, it’s showing the same account with 4 open contracts—something I didn’t open at all. When I try to close the trade, it doesn’t allow me to do so in any way. It seems like the simulation account data is somehow mixed with the live account, giving me inaccurate information. |

And this image I provided is from the simulation account, which I never initiated, and it’s also impossible to cancel.

Regarding post #15, are you referring to the screen image, given in post #14? That is a non-simulated position. You can close that position through Trade >> Trade Positions Window by selecting the position and pressing Flatten. Is the average price displayed incorrect? You can control that with this setting: Trading Information Windows: How Average Price for Positions Is Calculated and Used Also the link given at post #12, is just simply a blank image.
