Hello, I would like to use SC for just charting stocks. No need for trade execution. Wondering if this is possible. If so can you advise on what's the best way to do so? I primarily trade small cap. Is this something that would be cumbersome to do? Meaning having to import symbols everyday, just more of a hassle to do on a daily. thank you |

There is nothing too special you have to do for this. If you are OK with 15 minute delayed data, then there is nothing you need to do. You can access this data as you are setup now. Just open the "File >> Find Symbol" window and enter the ticker symbol of the stock you want to open a chart for. If you want real-time data, then you need to be on one of the "Integrated" packages and you need to setup and pay for the real-time data for the U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape exchange. Refer to the following for the different Integrated packages so you can determine which one you would need: Description of Service Packages and Pricing: Integrated Packages Then follow these instructions to change your package: Sierra Chart Purchase and License Information: Changing Package And finally, follow these instructions to setup and pay for the U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape exchange: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: All Other Exchanges* For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Ok, seems simple enough but would I have to add each ticker one by one or is there anyway to add them all? thank you |

It depends on what you want to do. If you want to open separate charts for each one, then you would need to enter each ticker and open a chart for it. If you want to open a single chart and then change the symbol for that chart based on a list, you would use the Associated Watch List and then you can load that from a file, or there are preset options to load all of the symbols for a particular exchange (such as NASDAQ or NYSE). Refer to the following: Changing the Symbol of a Chart: Using the Associated Watch List For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hello, I'm having trouble importing all of the US stock symbols into Sierra. I've copied a complete list of the symbols into a text file. Then I go to chart, associated watch list, click on add, then import and attempt to locate the watch list in my group of documents. However, when I go to look the Sierra folder the saved text document is not in there. Not sure I'm doing this correctly or if there is another way to do this. I just want to import all of the symbols at once. Please help at your convenience. Thank you John. |

The information for how to do this is at the following link: Changing the Symbol of a Chart: Importing a List of Symbols Let us know if something is not working. Just so you are aware, for the Associated Watch List, there is the ability to load all the symbols for a particular exchange. Refer to the following: Changing the Symbol of a Chart: Automatically Inserting Symbols for Exchange or Index For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
