Hi Support,

I'm quite new to Sierra Chart and have been trying to figure something out from the support forums, and would just like a little clarification please?

I use AMP Futures as my broker to trade mainly the ES and NQ, I have a paper trade account that uses Rithmic and a live trading account that uses CQG (same AMP account), in my previous software this allowed me to connect to both and pick which account to trade with.

I realise that I cannot connect to multiple feeds with Sierra Chart - but I think I may be able to use Rithmic or CQG for order routing and Denali for market data in the same instance of Sierra Chart (for continuous contract replay compatibility).

I also realise that this means paying for two feeds but that's fine, could you advise please?

Many thanks,
Bill

You can be connected to either CQG or Rithmic and get our Denali data. With CQG, you have to use our data, as we do not have support for CQG data for the CME Group.

You will be connected to either CQG or to Rithmic, you can not be connected to both. If you do want to connect to both, then we recommend having 2 installations of Sierra Chart, with one connected to CQG and the other to Rithmic. As long as both installations are on the same computer, then there are no additional fees needed. Refer to the following:
Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart

I also realise that this means paying for two feeds but that's fine, could you advise please?

We are not sure what you mean by this. Are you referring to paying for our data as well as CQG/Rithmic data? You would not have to pay for the data twice from us (as noted above).

We would recommend looking into our "Simulated Futures Trading Service" rather than using the Rithmic paper trading. Refer to the following:

For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

That's great, thanks John exactly what I needed. Can I ask another question please?

You can be connected to either CQG or Rithmic and get our Denali data. With CQG, you have to use our data, as we do not have support for CQG data for the CME Group.

That's very interesting, so I have now activated Denali so should be using real-time data with my CQG, is there any special config for this - or if Denali is activated in the back-end it just 'works'?

Are you referring to paying for our data as well as CQG/Rithmic data?

Yes, that is what I was referring to thanks.

We would recommend looking into our "Simulated Futures Trading Service" rather than using the Rithmic paper trading. Refer to the following:
Simulated Futures Trading Service

I've actually found this in-between raising this ticket and now - this is perfect, I will be cancelling my Rithmic paper trade account with AMP and using your service with my new Denali market data.

Cheers,
Bill

Hi John,

Sorry me again... I have setup simulated futures trading service now, under Date/Trade Service Settings I have selected 'Trading Evaluator [trading]' - but I am getting delayed data even though I have an active Denali account, should the data be real-time?

Thanks,
Bill

You have not connected to your live, funded, futures trading account. This is required at least once a month in order to verify your account for the CME Group's requirement for the non-professional exchange fees. Refer to the following:

Thanks John - I have connected up CQG live trading account now and am getting no market data - I have a symbol warning as attached. I have tried Global Settings > Symbol Settings > Update from Server but that does not seem to have worked, I assume this is why I have no data?

Each service uses a different symbol. When you change your "Current Selected Service" on the "Data/Trade Service Settings" window and then select OK, you are prompted to update your symbols, and we recommend selecting "Yes" to this question. If you forget, or open another Chartbook that is not updated, then you can select "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service" and your symbols will be updated.

You need to do this last item (Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service) and then everything should be working properly.
