Not Getting NASDAQ or NYSE Real time Quotes

I am receiving real time CL-Futures quote data. However, as of Aug 2, I am no longer getting NASDAQ or NYSE real time quotes for those charts. I have a subscription to all these exchanges with IB. How do I get (reinstate) my real time data for my NASDAQ and NYSE charts? |

We want to point out that you are setup to get the data for the CME Group from our Denali Exchange Data Feed, as you have the "Full CME Group" exchange activated. But, everything about your account looks good, so you should be getting the data. Please go through the following instructions to get us your Message Log: Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log: Message Log: Clearing the Message Log Close all of the Chartbooks with "File >> Close All Chartbooks". Open a single chart for the symbol you have an issue with through "File >> Find Symbol". Tell us that symbol of the chart. Tell us about *one* symbol only. Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect". Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed". After the connection and after about 10 seconds, provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions: Support Board Posting Information: How to Post Your Message Log (Required In Some Cases) We will then determine what the problem is. It seems I did not update my stock symbols to IB's new system! I had,for example, just "AMD". When I updated to "AMD-NQTV" etc everything works. I hope this is correct! Please let me know one way or the other if I am still doing something wrong. |

AMD-NQTV should not work for Interactive Brokers. That is a Sierra Chart symbol, and is used for our NASDAQ TotalView exchange. You would be getting the Delayed Streaming Data for this symbol, but not real-time data, as you are not setup for real-time data for this exchange, nor are you setup for our U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape. The point being that in order to get real-time data for U.S. Equities, you would have to get it from Interactive Brokers. When I logged in, the AMD chart flashed a notice (in an orange square) that AMD is ambiguous and I need to specify the currency. So, I went to "Chart Settings" and entered AMD as AMD-STK-SMART-USD. That seems to work. I hope this is correct. Please confirm. |

Interactive Brokers is telling you that you need to enter the symbol per their specifications. So you do have to have the symbol that is sent for trading as "AMD-STK-SMART-USD". But when you enter this as the main symbol, then you are also getting the data for the stock from Interactive Brokers. Be aware that you are NOT setup to get any U.S. Stock data from us, so this is what you need to do.
