The price action on the VWAP stopped ticking several days ago. After closing SC and re-opening it, and then seeing the message "Downloading Continuous Contract Data", it looked like things were stuck.

After following this link: Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Improving Historical Intraday Data Downloading Performance

Which was said to be used 'as a last resort' on this thread Chart Stuck at "Downloading Continuous Contract Data"

And the price started ticking again. Nice.

The problem is this has to be done every time SC is opened, and I've noticed that since it happened, there are no bids or offers shown on the DOM.

UPDATE: I am using Rithmic Direct - DTC [trading], under current selected services.

After letting the "Downloading Continuous Contract Data" message play itself out, it started loading data again which was a surprise but still the DOM has no bids or offers?

What went wrong and how to fix it?

The main problem is you are not using the Denali Exchange Data Feed and using Rithmic data. Even though you are paying the exchange fees through us.

Once you start using the Denali Exchange Data Feed the problems will be resolved.

The reason you are not getting real-time data from the Denali Data Feed, and historical data from the Denali Data Feed in the case of when using an external Trading service (Rithmic, CQG, Interactive Brokers), from the CME Group of exchanges is that you activated the *Non-Professional* exchange fees. However, you have not verified in the last month that you have a live, funded, futures trading account, which the CME needs in order to allow you data at the lower priced fees.

Refer to the "Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges" section here:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges

Rithmic paper trading or trading evaluator accounts are not considered a live funded futures trading account.

Refer to the following for instructions on how to connect once a month to your *live funded* trading account to qualify for the lower-priced exchange fees:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees

If you do not have a funded trading account or one with a supported Trading service, then refer to this solution:
Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement

Consider the above solution to avoid this problem in the future.

Once the above is done:

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

I appreciate your answer.

I don't have a professional trading account. Definitely not. I am doing an evaluation for a funded account. I've been trading this way since April without any problems.I've failed the evaluation multiple times, and this issue just started occurring after I paid and set up a new evaluation account with Topstep.

Topstep, the prop firm I use, suggests to use "Rithmic Direct - DTC [trading]" under the "Service Settings" and "TopstepTrader-Chicago Area-Non Aggregated" under "Server list".

Attached are the recurring services I've been using for the past year as I've been learning to trade, as well as explicit instructions from my prop firm that tells me to not use Teton at all as mentioned in the article. I must have paid over $1,000 to SC by now, which I gladly did. Are you saying one must deposit "$100 or $200" in order to do what I've been doing for the past 3 months?
