It is 6:00am EST and I just turned on my computer and engaged the sierra chart icon. I have observed that my minute and five minute charts which normally go back to the 00:00 start of day have only populated from 6:00am and I can not preview the data [00:00 - 05:59] and I observed that the evening prior data stops when the market closed and does not populate from 16:15-23:59 time frame. I did check my Global settings and all looks fine [time zone setting, tick values, et al]... Is this the "new" norm or should I expect there is an issue? I reviewed the message log [upon initiation of program] to see if there were any issues, but none that I can personally detect, so all looks relatively well ...

We have checked all of the servers and we see historical data. We also see the real-time data is now working properly.

If you are missing historical data in Intraday charts, refer to help topic 7.1:

RE: Follow-up on issue dated: [2014-05-16 11:43:29]
What do you do if the File> Connect to Data Feed is not highlighted?
I just opened my ESM4 chart today at 12:00 "ish" and my charts once again
loaded from my log in time with no previous days bars [bars 00:00 to 11:59
missing in action].
Also, I observed that while the data was attempting to upload a red box
with the term "Download Failure" appeared. Below I have posted the "Message Log"
which open when I first prompt the system. I believe I have been a client with the
same "set-up" since 2008 and this is the first quarter [since rollover of previous
contract] that this issue has appeared. Any assistance would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

You need to update Sierra Chart with Help >> Download Current Version. You are running a significantly older version.

After you have installed the updated version, follow the instructions here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails41.html

Also disregard the response from a user previously given. That was not relevant to your problem.

In the help area it is version 1019. Is version 1019 that old?
I wonder if when I did download version 1019 I recall changing the file name
[example: version1000 >> uploaded new version 1001> but changed the name of
version 1001 to version1001_dateofchange] as I was unaware that the program
would automatically over write the older version without losing my studies.

If this is the culprit how would I reverse this? Should I [can I] go back
to the original version 1001 or should I just remove both versions, saving
the data file to an external drive, upload a new version then upload the
charts and studies to the new data file?

What would you suggest?

You will not lose your studies when you update to a new version. Update following the instructions here:

I think something got lost in the translation:
When I did
Go to or run Sierra Chart if it is not already running.
Select Help >> Download Current Version or Help >> Download PreRelease depending on what you want. The download will occur in the background. There is no progress indication. If for some reason it fails due to an error, just repeat this step. If there is an error, it will be displayed in the Sierra Chart Message Log.
When the download is complete, you will be notified. Follow the on screen prompts. When prompted for an installation folder, do not change it because it is properly set to update your existing installation.
Just repeat these steps for every copy of Sierra Chart you have installed. It is that easy!

I accidentally DID change the file name [because in my line of work we typically do version control and I wasn't thinking that day]
So.....
Should I go back to my original sierra chart file and upload the recent version with my brain in tact
OR
Should I just download the new version [like a new customer] and see what happens?
Sorry to be such a pain. Thanks in advance!

OK, after much reading I decided to go to the original sierra file [version 869] and perform an update to the 1137 version.
It appears to have worked as all of the data on a minute chart is present. So, in the interim I would like to close out this
support ticket. I thank you very much for all your assistance and support.
Have a wonderful week!

In the running copy of Sierra Chart you just need to select Help >> Download Current Version.

The installer will be downloaded and run when complete.
