I have a lot of charts and most of them have a gap between the latest candle and the price column on the far right hand side, but for whatever reason I have a few charts where the latest candle is hugging the edge of the price column. How do I tweak those charts to be like the others with the gap in between?

Refer to the following: Working With Charts: Locking the Right Side Fill Space For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

It's still a little confusing. The charts I have without fill space have a checkmark on Lock Fill Space and no check mark on the Allow New Data in Unlocked Fill Space. I made sure my XAU chart (the one I'm having an issue with) is the exact same is the other ones that are good, but on the XAY, there is still no fill space. Hopefully that made sense.

Do not worry too much about what is set how, the question is simply what do you want to accomplish. If you want to have the fill space locked, so that when you scroll, the data is never displayed in that area, then you need to use the "Lock Fill Space" option. If, on the other hand, you just want to be able to set the last bar at some position and then have any new data entered at that same position (and the chart shift left from there) while allowing you to scroll the chart to the right, then you would need to use the option for "Allow New Data in Unlocked Fill Space". I want no bars in the fill space. I did as you said and checked Lock Fill Space, but it is still hugging the right price column, so I'm still confused as to how to create a gap between the last bar and the price column

You need to set your chart as you want it, with the space on the right, then select Chart >> Lock Fill Space. The fill space will stay locked at the position of the last bar at that time.

You probably think I'm absolutely crazy but I'm still not comprehending how you set the bars back how I want it like all my other charts naturally are. I just copy and paste charts, so how do I get the bars set back. Some of the language you're using is too technical for me to grasp

First, make sure the Lock Fill Space option is not enabled. Then click on the right arrow on the far bottom right of the scrollbar at the bottom to scroll the chart to the left and create the space you want (you can also use your scroll wheel on your mouse if it is setup to do this - which is the default). Once you have the spacing to the right the way you want it, select Chart >> Lock Fill Space. That is it, you will have the right side space always locked and the bars will not fill into that space. I did what I think you're telling me to do, and nothing. I made a 60 second video to show you exactly what's happening but it wouldn't attach here, so I'm not sure what to do to fix it. I wish I could give you a call

You almost have it. Where you grab the scroll bar at the bottom, you want to drag that all the way to the right to make sure you are all the way to the right. Then, click on the arrow just to the right of that spot (it looks like a Greater Than sign (>)). That will move your time further out, hence moving the chart bars to the left. Once you have them where you want, then select Chart >> Lock Fill Space.
