Problem Orders not submitted to Rhitmic. Evaluation. Account name too long

Dear Sierra Chart Support,

I received an account name with a lenght of 36 characters for an Rithmic Evaluation. (Connection: Rithmic Direct DTC)

Sierra Chart does seem to have a character limit of 32 characters for account names.
Maybe because of standards for the DTC protocol?

Can you confirm this?


Full Account name (how it appears in Rithmic R Trader):
MyNameReplaced*****AccountNr182837

SierraCharts 32 Character Account name:
MyNameReplaced*****AccountNr18

From my view the communication with Rhitmic failed cause of cutting of the excess characters exceeding the 32 limit:

The Support Team of the prop company doubts it would be the 36 character long account name and tells me to ask you for support.

Here is a picture of Rhitmic Trader Pro next to my Sierra Chart DOM.
As you can see, the orders are not progressed by Rhitmic. For the log see my previous post.

Another observation to add:
After some time running SierraChart the account with the very long name disappears from the drop down list in the trade manager.

Can you please confirm,
if that the problem is caused by the account name exceeding a certain limit of characters
and if this is an intended behaviour?

Yes the account identifier is too long based upon the particular DTC Protocol encoding method being used by Rithmic.

It must be shortened to be 31 characters or less.
