I am looking to add a ratio number to the footprint chart candles as opposed to being on the calculated bars table in chart region 2.

Is this something that can be added as a custom study by Sierra Charts? Personally i would find them super helpful especially for my style of trading.

Thank you

Luke

If you are looking for a single ratio value, particularly if it is a value that already exists in the Numbers Bars Calculated Values, then you could use the following study to get this displayed by your bars:
Study Subgraph Above/Below Bar as Text

Otherwise, if you are looking for a value at a per price level, then that would be something that would have to be added to the Numbers Bars study.

Then you would use the Study Subgraph Above/Below Bar as Text as we pointed out.

If you want to have a number above or below based on a certain case, then you would need to use the above study in combination with two of the Color Bar Based On Alert Condition study.

The following Study Collection will give you an idea of how to set this up:

And refer to the following for how to use a Study Collection if you are not already familiar:

John,

Thats great thankyou- do you know how i would go about filling the following parameters in using the mentioned studies:

Ratio Number appears high in the candle bearish
Ratio Number appears down in the candle bullish

When the value of Ratio is a number between 29.0 and 0.71(The Ratio number is black).
When the value of Ratio number above 30 (The Ratio number is blue).

If possible to compare in addition to the number Ratio also a text message:
Neutral Ratio (A number between 29.0 and 0.71)
Ratio Bounds High (A number above 30)
Ratio Bounds Low (A number between 0.70 and 0.0)

You are getting outside of the bounds of what we supply in terms of Support. You will need to work through the alert conditions for yourself. Or there are also other helpful people that monitor these forums as well.

For alert condition information, refer to the following:
Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning

In terms of adding text, that is is not easily done. But if you just want the information for the most recent bar, then you could use multiple versions of the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition with matching versions of the Text Display for Study. Refer to the following:
Text Display For Study
