To whom it may concern, please see below my letter I sent to my broker. It has been a frustrating experience and I want to get to the buttom of it.
If Sierra Charts is so buggy than instead of subscribing for a year with the most expensive package I am simply going to trade with different sofware and post my feelings on multiple forums. Here is the explanation:
To whom it may concern, I am getting really frustrated with CQG or Sierra Charts in combination with CQG. I had entered into a 6 contact position gradually(scaled in)  on Friday 3/26  at the end of trading hour with my average price at $12889. I kept the position through the weekend as intended. On Sunday when the market opened I saw my 6 contract position and was able to close it for profit. It turns out after I closed the position and started to look deeper into it that the position on the chart was completely off, from the position on Friday. I got concerned because Sierra Charts reported no profit, while when I closed the position it was showing a profit. I started to look deeper and looked at past AMP statement only to find out that the position placement has been altered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My previous position was sitting at 1$2889 average, while position on Sunday was sitting at much higher number $12,932!!!! It's too bad that I did not catch this error earlier as I would have stayed in the trade until I make profit.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that it happens to me and this time I am able to specifically point out what has happened. Please I beg you to deal with this problem with all seriousness as I am so frustrated with constant altering of positions that I am ready to take my business somewhere else. I am not sure who is playing the games, CQG or Sierra Charts, and I definitely hope not AMP, but I am so angry beyond belief, and I will voice my concerns on every forum I can, just to make sure that people don't fall in the same trap.  I really hope that you don't want your name to be part of a bad story, and can help me retrieve my loss. I feel that I have been cheated out of my money as I have no way of shifting a position in play and if it is not set correctly, I can't imagine that anyone would expect a retail investor like myself to not trust the software or data feed or the broker in today's technology era and keep paper notes!!!!Hope someone can escalate this matter to management, as I am not going to let this go this time. I have experienced similar issues previously and  was naive enough not to challenge it.

Let us take this step-by-step and a logical orderly approach.

Understand, that Sierra Chart is simply a reliable charting and order entry and order management platform which is utilizing CQG order routing in the background.

You should also understand how CQG calculates position average prices. How they do that is not within the scope of our support and you need to find out from your broker.

Sierra Chart can also calculate the Position Average price. And we do not know what average price you were looking at (from what source). Full documentation on this is here:
Trading Information Windows: How Average Price for Positions Is Calculated and Used

What was the duration of the position in days?

And in the chart or trading DOM you are trading from, what was this setting set to:
Chart Settings: Order Fills Start Date-Time (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trading menu)

If the Date-Time are blank, then just let us know that.

And if you have a question about the Daily Profit/Loss calculation, then refer to:
Help With Daily Profit/Loss Value

You can also see all of the orders you have submitted from Sierra Chart. You can see those in the Trade Activity Log and the fills which may have been used in the position average price calculation:
Trade Activity Log: Viewing Historical Trade Activity

I really hope that you don't want your name to be part of a bad story,
It does not matter what you post anywhere about this since we know that anyone looking at what your posting, who understands markets and trading, is going to quickly realize, there is some kind of misunderstanding on your part or the issue of has to do with how the external trading system works, in this case CQG. This is not the fault of a reliable trading platform. It simply could not be.

Whatever issue there is, it is going to be something involving you and CQG and your broker. And not Sierra Chart.

Please I beg you to deal with this problem with all seriousness
To the extent this is related to the position average price calculation and Sierra Chart , and you also have the ability to use the external service position average price and not rely on Sierra Chart, it is important for Sierra Chart to have the order fills that make up the position to calculate it properly. And it also depends upon the Order Fills Start Date-Time setting mentioned above.

Long-term order fill history which is essential for the calculation is well supported by the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

Fill history is a problem when using CQG because you will only have access to the most recent fills for the day. And not a full history.

We also had another customer, with several trading accounts with another clearing firm, who also had issues when using CQG and the position average price and they moved all of the accounts to our order routing service. This is still true as of this day, even with the issue that TT had back in February.

And we are working on our own direct CME order routing:
Now Released: Upcoming CME Direct Routing

We are not afraid of this posting and it has now been posted for our entire user base to see.

Please answer the questions we have asked you above, so we can help determine the problem. And we also want to know if all of the order fills that made up that position are in the Trade Activity Log:

It is also not unusual, when there are position rollovers into the next trading day, that the position average price can get reset to the settlement price or it may not be available at all. And this is the reason why Sierra Chart has its own Position Average Price calculation functionality. This is explained in detail here:
Trading Information Windows: How Average Price for Positions Is Calculated and Used (HowAveragePriceForPositionsIsCalculatedAndUsed)

So you can override what the external service is doing. Although it requires a complete order fill history for the position and also a basic understanding of how it works.

User679347, your FCM (probably Phillip) matches orders for overnight positions differently than you're used to but the true P&L is the same.. I very much doubt this is related to CQG or SierraChart.
