You are referring to CQG data, which we are no longer providing help for. And also you are posting from an expired account. You will need to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed for data.

-----
We are no longer as of December 28, 2020 providing the Sierra Chart provided historical data service for CQG or Interactive Brokers users. For more information, refer to this Support Board thread:
Jan 1, 2021 Changes to Historical Data: Interactive Brokers, CQG

Also refer to this post for steps that you need to do now:
Jan 1, 2021 Changes to Historical Data: Interactive Brokers, CQG | Post: 245144

The solution to this problem is to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed for CME and EUREX (Upcoming in January 2021) data. Step-by-step instructions are here:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges*

The first calendar month of this data feed is free. Let us know if you need help with the set up and we will help you through all of the steps.

In the case of CQG you will then need to contact your broker and cancel CME and EUREX exchange fees through your CQG account so you do not pay exchange fees twice. You definitively do not have to pay any market data exchange fees through your brokerage account to CQG. This is not required.

For other exchanges (ICE, HKFE) you need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed

As an alternative to CQG, we recommend using the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

In regards to using CQG provided historical data, we definitely do not recommend using that. It has an additional cost of 25 USD per month. The data delivery is slow and inefficient and causes Sierra Chart to freeze during the processing of it. Only 5 days of tick data is supported from CQG. And only current futures contracts are provided.

Whereas with Sierra Chart provided data feeds, you will have access to 10+ years of reliable high-speed delivered tick by tick data. Once again we do not advise using CQG historical data and it will not work well with Sierra Chart. And we also provide no technical help or support for any CQG provided historical data or real-time data.

I understand the want to sell your own data. If it is purely a data issue I understand your hesitation to help.

However, my entire trading group uses CQG with the same everything as mine and do not have this issue with OIL, meaning it was something I did to my settings for the chart and not the data.

Meaning even had I been using your data I still would have screwed this up. So my question is, regardless of the data feed, what did I do to my chart settings to produce this odd looking chart? Please and Thank You

I understand the want to sell your own data.
The real issue is that the CQG data does not deliver the functionality that you need. It is not about selling our own data. It is about providing the data which is necessary for Sierra Chart to function properly.

But we think we know what the problem is. You are running an out of date version. The information we gave above, and linked to, says that you need to update. Instructions:
Software Download: Fast Update

After the update:
Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

Please also be aware of:
Your Sierra Chart account which you have logged into this Support Board with is expired. So we know what Sierra Chart account you are using, go to Help >> Support Board from within the Sierra Chart desktop program and then post in this thread telling us this is done.

This is important because we do not have any information about the version you are using which makes our support more difficult and delays our response.

Thank you! However, even now that I have the latest version, I followed your directions and you will see in the screen shots its deletes all data and basically starts the data from today. If you look at the Date Range in File From: I changed it to 2021-01-03 (what my fellow CQG data users show in their chart settings) and hit apply and it goes back to 2021-01-25 (todays date) every time. I have tried goin into edit global symbol settings and updating form server as well but has not worked.

It is only doing this for OIL. I have even opened a new instance and new chart books with new charts and it pulls up OIL this way every time.

Any other suggestions??? THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Also, if I change it to Historical Chart it looks right. It is only the Intraday chart for Oil that is having issues!

Please understand we are not providing any support for CQG historical data. This is a CQG historical data issue. This is a basic fact. You need to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed:
Denali Exchange Data Feed

We have now included this data feed in new service packages.

You will want to change to package 10 or package 11. Depending upon whether you need the Standard or Advanced package. Let us know and we can help you.

Once again we are not providing any support at all for CQG historical. None whatsoever. This is wasting everyone's time and this is why we have made it very very clear to users that that CQG data is not acceptable. And we are just getting ignored. Do not ask us further about CQG historical data. We will help you with the Denali data feed and that is all we can do.

We have specifically created new packages with the Denali data feed and we are reducing the cost of those packages next month, to just a few dollars more. So there is no point in even struggling with CQG historical data and we are not going to and we do not want you to either.
