I have checked with 2 other people using Sierra Charts and we have the same Chart Settings, Time zone, Ect. They do not have this gap on CL and every time I change to this commodity I get this error message. I have checked with CQG data this is the correct front month symbol Also confirmed using other Sierra Charts members.

Any idea what is going on and how to fix this?'

I should add all other symbols for Commodity's I follow are working. It is just CL and I've tried logging in again, forced login, delete and redownload data. Nothing has worked.

First, update to the current release:
Software Download: Fast Update

Then update your Symbol Settings to resolve the symbol error:
Global Symbol Settings: Update Symbol Settings

After the above, redownload the data from just before the gap by following these instructions:
Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Retrying the Download When There is Data in the Chart

I followed all 3 of your links. In order. To the T. Not only did it not work. I mean AT ALL. It broke some other things inside of my Chartbook.

Now previously linked charts do not change symbol together. Checked settings they are all still set to change on symbol and share the same link # (I didn't change anything - thus what worked before no longer works after the update)

Then after the update I went on to follow the steps on downloading some server and redownloading data. See screenshot. Still getting error. Now only one bar per time frame. Again only for OIL. AL other commodity's are working as far as proper candle projection compared to fellow Sierra users. But this did not fix the chart link.

The message log shows the same thing, that for some reason the symbol F.US.CLEZ20 is not being recognized properly, even though everything about the symbol looks fine.

We want you to go to File >> Find Symbol and select the F.US.CLEZ20 symbol from that list (do not open it any other way, you must use the Find Symbol page) and open an Intraday chart. Let us know if that opens properly or if there is the same problem with the Symbol Error.

I tried it in my existing Chartbook first. Did not work.

Second I opened a new Chartbook to add a chart from scratch. Did not work. See attached photos for reference.

You have made an incorrect change to your Symbol Settings for that symbol related to the historical data source. The fastest solution is to uncheck this option:
Global Symbol Settings: Use Custom Symbol Settings Values (Global Settings >> Symbol Settings)

And then after that is done Re-download the data:

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

IT WORKED!... not sure how on earth that I changed the symbol in any custom way, but thank you for your help!.

One last question. See two attached images. For some reason, just in the last couple of days my ES charts have started taking an extra long time to load when switch to ES from another asset.

It didn't use to take so long. Again, I use the same charts for all of my trading and just rotate through the commodity's using a quote board. Any suggestions for why ES takes no long and the others load instantly?

This is because of the increased trading volumes for ES.

Refer to:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.12 - Intraday Data Storage Time Unit. Historical Data Record Time Frame.
