Can't get a connection feed to CTS T4. I have followed all instructions from Top Step Trader. I can't seem to find the issue. Below is my log.

I'm needing some help please... everything is in the fields as it should be... I have contacted Top Step Trader and confirmed. I can't understand why I can't get a connection. Please help.

We tried calling but got voicemail.

Within Sierra Chart could you please select File >>Connect to Data Feed.

If you get a connection then good, if not then post the Message Log, by following these steps:

This probably means you are running the non-CLR version. You will need to update to a compatible version of Sierra Chart for T4, by selecting Help >> Download Prerelease.

Make sure your broker enables the use of sierra charts.. Its required for the T4, they make some setting on their end.

Hey Guys I got this from TST.

Hello,

The log in details in the email are for your T4 Simulated platform. Sierra Charts are fully enabled on our end and you're correct that your Sierra Chart setting needs to be in Live mode. You may need different, Sierra Chart-specific log in information, but unfortunately I do not have those specifics. I would advise you to contact Sierra Chart support.

I downloaded the pre-release plus set it to sim which does connect but now I'm told it needs to run live. Which it doesnt connect when live only sim.

Yeah it needs to be in sim mode, for it to work, they told me it shouldnt be in sim mode, but they are wrong, needs to be sim. Also the TopStep folks need to change a setting so that you can use SierraCharts..

The great thing about using this software is not only is it great for chart based trading, but the OCO orders are held on the server. I verified this OCO server held capability for orders initiated in SierraCharts, and happy to say it works.

What Top Step Trader is saying is that you need to disable Trade >> Trade Simulation Mode in order for orders to go to the T4 system for them to be monitored.

Since you are not actually trading a live account, at least not initially, you do need to enable "Use Sim Server" in the T4 Connection Details in Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings.

So this is the difference and where the point of confusion is. They do need to clarify this.
