Hello,

Need clarification on your data feed.
It is $50 for 500 symbols and $25 for 150 symbols.

Exchange fees are about $10.
My understanding is that exchanges charge per computer. For those of us using multiple computers it gets expensive.

1.Is there a way in sc such as a shared folder or via networking to have only on exchange connection and share it between several computers?

2. You write in your advertisng:

Value
Sierra Chart is an excellent value with low pricing to make it affordable for everyone in the community.

If there is no way to share data between computers, can there be only one sierra base fee for the data and then added exchange fee for each computer? This needs to be affordable.

Looking forward to a positive response.

Thanks

First, please understand that these restrictions are put in place by the exchanges themselves and we are only following their rules.

Second, we do not have a simple method to have the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed on a second computer. The only way that really works is to have a second Sierra Chart account and then have the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed active for both accounts. We do give a discount if this is the way you go. Refer to this section of the documentation and note last paragraph in this section:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#Connections

Last, the Denali Exchange Data Feed, which offers the CME Group of exchanges, does have a method to have 2 computers connected to the data feed, by having you pay for a second set of exchange fees. Refer to the information here:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: Connections
----

Not sure why you need to use more than one computer at the same time, other than to have another computer available as a backup. So the best thing is to try to use a single computer.

Hello,

Thank you for reply.

1. Does Sierra data feed also has futures from CME or only stocks?

If I need both stocks and futures, what do I need to subscribe?

2. I note from your reply that there is a discount for the second computer for data.is this discount only fo the sierra fee and not for the exchange fees?

3. If one buys data for the two computers, can there be no sierra charge for data with the exception of exchange feed for additional computers? Need for ot not to get too expensive.

1. The Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed has U.S. Equities along with other major exchanges, but it does NOT have the CME Group. The data for the CME Group is part of the Denali Exchange Data Feed.

Therefore, if you want both U.S. Equities and the CME data, then you would need to subscribe to both the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed (for Stocks) and the Denali Exchange Data Feed (for CME).

For more information, refer to:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/RealTimeDataFeedsAvailableFromSierraChart.php#UsingBothDenaliExchangeDataFeedAndSierraChartExchangeDataFeed

You get a credit to your account each month when using both data feeds.

2. The discount that we mentioned is only when you need to have the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed on two different computers at the same time. The way that is accomplished is by having a second Sierra Chart account and paying for the entire Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed a second time.

3. If you need the data on two different computers at the same time, and you want to have the U.S. Equities on both computers along with the CME data, then your only option would be to have 2 Sierra Chart accounts and pay for the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and the Denali Exchange Data Feed in both accounts. You would get a discount on the 2nd Sierra Chart account itself, but not on the data.

We would recommend that you only use the data from the CME on two different computers (you would only have access to the U.S. Equities on one computer at a time). If you do this, then you would only need the 1 Sierra Chart account and you would only need to pay for the exchange fees twice. This is going to be the most economical option.

Hello,

Thank you for being so helpful. I am thinking through your suggestion. I think I will be fine with one Denali feed.
I think I may need sierra data feed for stocks on 3 to 5 computers - can you charge the sierra fee for sierra data feed data feed only for two computers. I understand I will have to pay exchange fees for each computer.I am fine with software fees, my request is on stock data feeds for stocks.

Hello,
Am I understanding correctly that you want to charge for the sierra data feed for the 3rd, 4th and 5th computer?
It yes, certainly you are offering progressively bigger discounts for each additional computer for sierra data feed. What are these bigger discounts? Please feel free to contact me privately if that is better for you.
Thank you for all your help and great software.

You are wasting far too much of our time. There is no further response on this. It has reached an absolute level of absurdity for us to be answering all these questions about this over all of these months. You should have respect for our time. Do not ask us further about this.

This thread is now locked.

If you have got 5 systems you pay $50 per system for 500 symbols. So $250. If 5 systems is important for you for whatever unknown reason, that is the cost.

Or if you need 150 symbols per system the cost is 25 USD per system. So this is 125 USD. This is an excellent deal. An absolute excellent deal. Everyone would completely agree. And if you realize how much money we spend for access to this data feed, you would not ask us further about this, and you would overwhelmingly overwhelmingly thank you for the extremely good deal we are giving you. You would be thanking us every single month over and over again about how good of a deal we are giving you. And we mean that.
