Hi guys, hope you're having a good weekend! Following the recommendation on this page: Is Historical and Real-time Futures Data Included? to open a ticket.

I currently pay about $100/month to IBKR for data feeds and orderflow on their horrendous platform. I exclusively trade /ES, /NQ, /MES, and /MNQ.
I'm looking to make the switch to Sierra charts and route my orders to IBKR. (The guide on that seems pretty straightforward). From this, I already have a funded futures account with IBKR.
I believe I'm going to have to subscribe to the Denali exchange data feed and the advanced service package (for market depth), etc. Is there anything else that I need to purchase in order to achieve my objectives?
Furthermore, once these purchases are made, is it still required for me to pay $100/m for IBKR's data services? I would imagine not.

Thanks in advance!

I made a ticket because: Is Historical and Real-time Futures Data Included? says to open one if you're still confused. Yet apparently the ticket board says: " Therefore, do not post questions here which should be on the Support Board. You definitely will *not* receive a response here!". Since it's impossible to distinguish whether the ticket is not being answered because it's in the wrong place, or if the ticket hasn't been answered because answering things take time, I'm going to post it in both places.

You only need to pay for Denali $25 / month + the market data you need.

I used to be an interactive brokers user and switched to AMP Futures. I only use interactive brokers for stocks now. AMP Futures offers the same or better commissions than IB and the integration with Sierra is much better, no need for an API window.

No need to pay for any IB data

It all seems quite convoluted. Your guys' clarification is much appreciated. Looking forward to passing this knowledge along. Thanks again.

@Marcelperez, regarding your experience with IBKR and Sierracharts, are the problems too numerous to use them? The Sierra Charts page found here is quite bleak: Interactive Brokers Trading Service
I'm located in Canada and IBKR is the only broker with half decent commissions.

You may see strange things happening with daily P/L and position fields from time to time because of IB's garbage API (c). You can double check in TWS when/if this happens. It's perfectly usable, you should give it a try.

this is true sometimes the P&L goes a bit crazy which I dont like.

I used to be a big IBKR fan, but i switched to AMP for futures and don't think i will ever use IBKR for futures again.

you should try it out.

In regards to the first post, you will need to use the Denali exchange data feed:
Denali Exchange Data Feed

No we do not think so.

In regards to Daily Profit/Loss, refer to:
Help With Daily Profit/Loss Value

This is not necessarily an Interactive Brokers specific issue. Probably not. Although when using the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service you should have no issues with Daily Profit/Loss as long as the relevant settings are correct:

The Sierra Charts page found here is quite bleak
Yes that is true. We would only recommend using Interactive Brokers if you need to based upon your country of residency or based upon what you are trading. And really what is written on the Interactive Brokers page is nothing new. All of the statements relating to issues and issues you can encounter, have been there for 10+ years although there have been changes to that documentation over time.

More than 8 years ago, we remember when there was one introducing broker for Interactive Brokers in Chicago wanting to offer Sierra Chart and then use it with an external data feed but we just at the time could not provide them a good solution and we did not recommend that they offer Sierra Chart.

Now we have integrated data feeds like the Denali exchange data feed and the Sierra Chart exchange data feed. So we do have an easier to use solution but depending upon what you are doing you can still run into problems when using Interactive Brokers.
