I really wish I could get someone on your end on the phone for just a few minutes to walk me through some stuff. You guys ever thought about doing some kind of live chat deal?

It's been a few months since I've used Sierra Charts. Since my last download, a few things are different. One, how do I get the price to move with the horizontal line or whatever tool I'm using, so I know where to set to set Support and Resistance lines and stuff like that?

Also in this new version the entire layout seems to be very thin. I wouldn't mind thickening up the bars and fonts

And lastly. To be honest, I don't even know how to describe this very well, but there's a large gap between the price line on the far right and the last candle. How do I get rid of that gap? I don't remember it ever being like that before

We can give you a call and help you through your questions, but it costs $0.75 per minute. Let us know if you would like to move forward with a call.

In the meantime, here are some answers to your questions:

1. We are not sure what you mean by having Price move with the tool. If you want to view the price that the pointer is at while using a tool, then turn on the Compact Tool Values Window, which will give you the information while you are drawing. Refer to the documentation here:
Chart Drawing Tools: Compact Tool Values Window

2. To change the thickness of the bars, you need to go to Global Settings >> Graphics Settings >> Other and adjust the settings there for the type of bar you are displaying. Refer to the information starting here:
Graphics Settings: Candlestick Width % (Global Settings >> Graphics Settings >> Other)

3. There are a few different reasons for why you may have that gap. First, make sure the option for Global Settings >> General Settings >> General 2 >> Allow New Data in Unlocked Fill Space is enabled. Refer to the information for this setting here:
General Settings Window: Allow New Data In Unlocked Fill Space (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Charts >> Charts)

Also, it's possible that the Fill Space has been locked. Make sure the option for Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings >> Lock Fill Space is not selected. Refer to the information here:
Chart Settings: Lock Fill Space (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Display Items menu)

I'm still struggling with the first problem on the list. The Compact Tool Values Window thing didn't do anything. Let me try again with a description. I just want to see where the exact price or value is when I set a horizontal line. Otherwise I'm left to guesswork of where I'm puting the line. In the past, the price would move with the line, now it doesn't

Not sure what you mean by the "...Compact Tool Values Window thing didn't do anything." But there is another option which it sounds like you are really looking for. It is just a matter of setting up the Horizontal Line tool to display the price.

Select the Tool Configuration for the Horizontal Line Tool (Tools >> Tool Configs >> Horizontal Line) and then select the Label tab and enable the option for Price and then save the configuration and close the window.

From that point forward, as long as you are selecting the Horizontal Line and that configuration is the one selected, then you will get the price displayed.

For more information, refer to the following section on Tool Configurations:

I found the solutions to the above problems. Last one associated with that. Now the last bar is hugged right up against the line next to the price. How do you create a small gap between the price and the last bar?

Don't know if any of this stuff is working. I might have to fork out the 75 cents a minute

You've had me read a lot of stuff and I've tried all of it, but it doesn't seem to cooperate on my end. The allow new data in unlocked fill space is not checked, and the lock fill space is enabled. I've got 3 different charts on every pair. The middle chart seems to work fine in terms of this issue. The one on the left never budges with the right side fill space being removed. And the chart on the left is dependent on the pair. So the point is, there's no consistency

It's all very strange and it never used to do that with earlier versions. But even with the charts that have the proper fill space there, whenever you scroll to the left, instead of just moving to the left as it normally has in the past, all the bars on the far right just disappear as you scroll. It's a strange feature

I've tried by best to follow all instructions, but they're filled with a bunch of technical jargon most people have never heard of before so they're hard to follow, and in my case I don't even know if things are working as you say you should. Do you have a phone number. I was looking for one
