Hello, I just got a yearly subscription from my demo account. It is still using demo # and has not given me a new one. Is there something more I should do?

No there is nothing more you need to do based upon the information we have from you. If you explain what you want to do, then we can give you instructions on how to do it.

Do you require real-time data? Do you want to trade a funded trading account you have?

This depends upon whether you obtain Sierra Chart through AMP or through your own account which you are posting this message with.

And it depends whether you would be using CQG or the Sierra Chart order routing service:

I obtained my subscription independent of amp futures. As I dont believe you offer a demo on their platform any longer. At least according to their help desk So please let me know the next step.

When you say "their platform" what exactly do you mean? If you are going to be using Sierra Chart, the platform is Sierra Chart. And we offer full capabilities during a trial and with a paid account including a data feed with market depth, historical data and a full server-side trade simulation environment.

So it is a complete unified environment, with no external dependency and no frustrating set up issues . Although if you are looking for real-time data, that is another matter and exchanges do cause monumental frustrations with that.

Refer to:
Basic Instructions for Sierra Chart Demo for Brokerage Customers

Also please update to the current version:
Software Download: Fast Update

So do you now have a funded futures account with AMP? So you need to get that set up and they would set you up either on CQG or TT if you want to use Sierra Chart. Once that set up is done on the AMP side we can give you instructions on using Sierra Chart with that account.

Hello. I have funded my Amp account and tried to log on. I have entered my password and username correctly. When I went to go live it says invalid symbol in a yellow box that flashed on screen and is now gone. On the dom it shows my account number but there is no action on the chart at all. Should I have checked enable fix logging as well. I am using cqgwebapi

Make sure the symbols in the charts are correct by selecting Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service.

First we want you to review the documentation for the Chart DOM:
Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Using the Chart DOM / Order Entry Ladder

We recommend using it during a chart replay:
Replaying Charts

Just use it with a normal chart rather than a separate Trading DOM

I think I figured it out. I talked with Amp and apparently I was trying to enter market order by right clicking above(for sell) and left clicking below (for buy)when trying to enter a market order. Apparently I was clicking too high and too low the current price on Dom column. It allowed me to do that in sim mode but not live. When I clicked closer to the current price it worked. So my question to you is the way you click in sim mode sometimes different then live? Is it perhaps that CQG is different in the way they execute?

There is one further thing that I noticed that bothers me and that is there is no data feed from CQG on the weeekend apparently. I saw from your post that some data feeds do not operate on holidays and weekends. I also saw that you recently begun offering your own data feed from TT. I literally just started with CQG and Amp. MY question is if I wanted to switch to your feed what would the process entail including cost? Would I still be able to trade with Amp?

Have a look at the Chart DOM settings in regards to the order types for the different actions:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Chart DOM Settings

There can be a difference with a stop order behavior in trade simulation mode as compared to live trading but there is an option to make it the same:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Reject Stop Orders That Will Immediately Fill (Global Settings >> Chart Trade Settings >> General >> Order Entry)

Instructions to use the Sierra Chart order routing service are here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartOrderRoutingServiceWithData.php#SetupInstructions

AMP is supported.

The only additional cost is 20 USD a month for the data feed.
