Hello, today at 14 th April 2020 Sierra charts has a problem with the orders, it actually triggered orders on my account by itself! When i click to flatten the trade it just opens a new order on FXCM account (which is my broker) for example now i can see an order on USDJPY CFD which is a sell and if i click to flat it a new order will appear on my FXCM account. Now that the order is live my FXCM account is flat and there is no increase or decrease of the account profit or loss.

Can you please fix this and explain why it happens? I didn't make any change, it was working properly until today. This also cost me about 20 Eur from my live FXCM account as it just used the child orders as main ones!

We would have to examine this in more detail to be completely clear with what has happened, but it appears as though there has been a problem with the Position reporting from FXCM. We have reset the FIX connection to FXCM.

After that, we did see two Positions on your account, which then cleared. They were reporting nonzero Position quantities, now those symbols have no positions. Check with FXCM to see what positions you currently have.

So really what you were seeing was incorrect Position reporting due to an issue on the FXCM side. Not that there were any unexpected orders being sent.

Hello, I hope you are well.

I am experiencing the same problem with the orders again. I click to flat the order and it opens 2 orders on my FXCM account, when i buy sell them back its flat on my FXCM account but in Sierra Charts there is an order running! How is this possible?

Clearly something has changed with the FXCM FIX service. There have been no changes on the Sierra Chart side.

We have to ask them about this and do some testing. At this point, contact FXCM and close out your Positions and do not do any further trading from Sierra Chart. This may take us a couple of days to figure this out.

We are going to reset the FIX connection to FXCM now so you see the correct Positions but please do not do any further trading.

We think we may get the problem resolved in about three hours.

Something definitely has changed on the FXCM side in regards to their position reporting messages.

Ok, thanks!

I saw that the running order on GBPUSD is gone now without being calculate in my FXCM account. I also have some Limit orders in.

Also wanted to ask you with which other accounts are you cooperating with for CFD products? Just in case i would like to change the broker and choose a broker who will cooperate with your platform. Thanks

We are successful with resolving the problem. We stopped using the unsolicited FIX Position reports to update Positions and instead use the fills from the FIX execution reports. Using fills from the execution reports is a reliable way to incrementally update the Positions.

We did extensive testing now on the FXCM Demo FIX server. No problems.

We have done a software update. We do need to do a restart after we convert the trade activity format. That will happen over the next few minutes. So you will lose the connection again if connected.

Sounds good. Have you informed FXCM about it as well? Thanks

No not yet. It is fastest for us just simply to look at the problem and resolve it ourselves.

We can go into more in-depth as to what changed in the position report but is perfectly fine to update Positions from the execution report fills. This is how Positions are updated with our TT based order routing.
