hello,

sorry to disturb you but i wasn't able to interpret the data feed posts correctly.

my main funds are with IB which i understand has a lot of compatiblity issues with sierra chart. i wanted to use sierra chart as my main platform to invest the funds held with IB. i do long and short term stuff there. i hold bonds, equities, fx etc..

i also have a futures trading account with dorman but i usually use tradovate to trade with them because they have a WEB access + mobile app so it's very convenient for the kind of trades i place.

in short, i would be glad if i could use funds from my IB account to trade on the sierra chart platform while using this data package : Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) for nonprofessional Trading accounts - Price 3.25 USD/month
and then using your routing order for 0.10$ per side.


is that possible ?

thank you for your prompt reply.

i couldn't find Interactive Brokers in your drop-down list when filling the exchange form. i've left it blank. hopefully it'll work ?

i have activated sierra 5+ Denali feed+ order routing, i will let it run a bit and will connect in one hour or so to see if everything works properly.

if you can confirm from your side that everything seems to be in order what would be nice. (also with regards to the web access via TT platform, is there any delay ? should i expect some email communication or do i need to investigate myself?)

the drop down list i am referring to is the one shown when filling the SC order routing form. there is a list of clearing firms there, interactive broker is not shown even though they apparently clear themselves.

any solution on that ? because i have tried and i cannot connect to SC order routing at the moment, it is declining the connection because there is no link with my trading account

Hi User305182, Interactive Brokers is not supporting the TTFIX Order Routing Collaboration, Dorman Clearing DOES support the TTFIX Order Routing Collaboration and has Introducing Brokers such as Dorman Trading & Stage 5 Trading that are helpful.

also with regards to the web access via TT platform, is there any delay ?
We have to manually activate this for your account. However, it will not be available until your TT trading account is set up and assigned to your Sierra Chart account.

first of all i have to say i'm laughing quite a bit because i've heard for a number of years that the support of sierra chart was terrible and took forever.

i've had same-day replies since my first contact, i'm laughing my ass off. My expectations were so low that i am feeling i am receiving a 5 star support service now. clever marketing trick guys , well done :)

So to summarize the current situation : This isn't my preferred option because i have more funds and can also use other instruments as collateral with IB for short moves so using the IB account would have been my preferred method. (i know the IB symbols and their IT platform suck, but there aren't a lot of shops out there existing for so many years and making 200-400 million of profits per year. i sleep well when my money sits with them - can't say that much about many others)

In any case, i'm willing to use this at-home period to try and setup a proper execution framework so i've called both dorman and tradovate and requested again this TTFIX Order Routing Collaboration.

Dorman seemed to know and confirm it was possible but basically requested me to have tradovate handle the request. tradovate first contact wasn't aware of it and wanted to peddle the CQG market data / order routing (15$/month +.15$ per side). so i have now sent a proper email to them and am expecting a reply today. Assuming they do recognize this option and can activate it , i'll have to move more funds there as i only have enough for small day trades there at the moment.

this bring me to the fact that today is 31st of march and i have subscribed for a service that cannot technically work right now and will only work in a couple of days once the paper work is done and once funds are there (let's say mid april). How can we handle the order routing fee in the meantime ? can you deactivate it ?

in the meantime, you also discuss the TT account. is that something i can already progress on while the paperwork is being discussed between tradovate/dorman/sierra ? or is the paper work a condition precedent to the TT account setup?

thank you and sorry for writing a book in that response but i'm eager to settle this at once.

If you want to use Interactive Brokers that is perfectly fine. Here are the instructions and details:

You really just need to have a direct account with Dorman to use the TT order routing.

We can deactivate the Denali data for you need. Do you want us to do that? We can also add a few days of usage time to your Sierra Chart account.

A funded trading account must already be in existence before the TT account is set up.
