To access CME group market data at the nonprofessional fees, requires that you have a funded futures trading account when using the Denali Exchange Data Feed or the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed.

Sierra Chart uses a technical means to verify if you have a funded trading account. If you are using the Sierra Chart order routing service and have a TT account assigned to your Sierra Chart account, then it is automatically known that you have a funded trading account and accessing CME group data through one of the Sierra Chart provided data feeds, is trouble-free because you don't have to do anything special at the beginning of every month to show you have a funded trading account.

More information is here about that:
Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement

If you are not using the Sierra Chart order routing service, then with versions 2058 an earlier you have to connect once a month to your funded trading account to authorize the CME data. This would have to be at the beginning of the month because the stored data that remembers you had a funded trading account expires at the end of the prior month. So you normally would need to connect again to your funded trading account at the beginning of the month. If you are always connecting to your funded trading account because you are using Interactive brokers or CQG or Rithmic and Sierra Chart is connected directly to those services then there is nothing special to do.

But if you have Sierra Chart set to use SC Data-All Services, then you do have to connect your funded trading account at the beginning of the month.

In this last case, this creates a problem at the beginning of every month where we have a lot of postings on our support board, and through account support tickets with people inquiring why the data feed is no longer real time. We tell people to connect to their funded account and you also receive a notice when you start Sierra Chart telling you to do that.

Effective with version 2059, you can connect your funded account at any time during the month and that then authorizes the CME group data for another 30 days. This means that you do not always have to connect exactly at the beginning of the month and we are not overwhelmed the beginning of the month with questions regarding this.

Version 2059 is available now. Update now with Help >> Download Current Version.

With 2058 an earlier, the funded account verification mechanism was based strictly on a calendar month based upon the original discussions on this subject with Barchart many years ago. But after a day like today and after so many difficult experiences at the beginning of the month, it is necessary for a change and we are glad we finally have this out.

I was specifically looking for this information. If I had not found this post, I would not have known of this.

Thanks.

Hello SC,

Researching a lack of market depth I've come across these posts. Following the advice here I've been connecting to my "live" Topstep and Amp accounts regularly. I have also downloaded the current version 2125... and connected with it (on both).. I'm sure that my lack of market depth is due to my "settings" in my account. I'm using Denali and have service package 5.. please advise what choices I should make to get market depth for NQ and ES index futures without incurring any extra charges to my account.

best regards,

You are not subscribed to the CME Exchange that includes the Market Depth. You would need to change your selection here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed

Note that the exchange fee that includes market depth is $31.20 versus the $3.25 you are paying now.

There is no other way to get the Market Depth other than to pay for it.

Also, be aware that the exchange fees are not pro-rated. Therefore, if you activate the "Full CME Group with Market Depth" today (June 26, 2020), you will pay $31.20 for these last 4 days of June and then pay $31.20 again on July 1, 2020 for July. Therefore, you may want to wait until July 1, 2020 to make the change.
