I have been having an ongoing issue where my my toolbar button, or chart tabs, and Dom button are constantly freezing. Example already this morning I have tried clearing pull/stack on dom via toolbar and it won't click. I can click it and it wont work. i have to to to another chart book or some other place like File and then go back to clear pull/stack for it work. The worst part is on dom. If i am in a trade i can;t flatten or anything. Please advise fix. phone call to better explain or remote session even better.

As long as the user interface is not in a frozen state, this sounds like some kind of operating system problem. So it sounds like you can still interact with the main menu of Sierra Chart?

No, I would have to like get the focus away from sierra. open chrome or something then go back to the platform. I know 3 other people from 3 different states that this problem is occurring. I'd be glad to let SC remote in. Thanks

This still sounds like an operating system problem. What you are describing is interaction with the operating system. It just shows just how troublesome Windows 10 is and is in a state of deterioration. Yes you can show us but not sure what we can do. What would we do. If the operating system cannot even respond to its own button on the Trade Window for example that you click, what would we do. Really our recommendation would be to try a different computer. Issues like this were completely nonexistent before Windows 10. And really this is the first time we are hearing about this. And the solution you describe just overwhelmingly points to an operating system level problem. This is just simply out of our control to help with. The first step is for you to use a different computer. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. We want to get more of an understanding about this. Are you referring to buttons on the Control Bar and the chart tabs? Are you having any trouble with interacting with the menus? Are you having any interacting with buttons directly on the Trade Window like the Flatten button? Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Yes, Control Bar. I have made buttons for like Clear Recent Vol and, clear pull/stack etc... When this problem arises nothing works. Flatten button or anything. This is why I finally brought it up to the board. I have been in trades and hit flatten button and it wont do anything. Like last night for example I was watching ES trying to open chart settings via control bar. it did not work. So i had to totally click something away from sierra chart like my documents on my task bar. I know 2 other people that have this same issue.

If it relates to the control bar only and you can still interact with the menus, and the controls directly on the Trade Window, then this sounds like something we should be able to resolve but we are not sure of the underlying issue at this point.

If you cannot even use the "Flatten" button on the Trade Window then as we said this is not something we would have any control over. This would be a strictly an operating system level issue.

This is very helpful. We are going to add some logging this evening, we will let you know when this is done so you can update, to determine which of the three potential problems is where the problem is.

We are going to be releasing 2043 this morning. This is a prerelease. Every time you interact with the Control Bar, there will be messages added to the Window >> Message Log. When you have the problem we will want to know if there any messages in the Message Log. If so we will need to see those messages. If there are no messages let us know and that tells us more about where the problem is. We are confident we can mostly pinpoint where the problem is but we are not at this point sure we can do anything about it. We will have to see. 2043 has now been released. For the debug logging you need to enable Global Settings >> General Settings >> General 4 >> Control Bar Debug Logging.

We do not see any message log at post 17. But that does not matter at this point in time. When you see this in the log at the end of those control bar messages: ItemID = -1 It indicates there was no matching button. When you deliberately click on the control bar button are you seeing -1 for the ItemID? Are you using multiple monitors? Anyway we do have some clue about what is going on. There is no up event. Only a down event. It is the up event which actually causes the button click action to occur. Let us contemplate all the data we have here and provide us more as you continue to have a problem and then we will try to come to a conclusion. Can you please right click on control bar, then in the opened dialog scroll down till the end of the "Selected Control Bar Commands:" list and check if the last item in that list is actually visible in control bar, then let us know which check boxes are checked under that list.
