Hello,

I have a question. I cannot see my account balance in the Sierra Chart trading platform in the Account Balances window. I can only see the sim trading account balances.

According to our information, you do not have your Data/Trade Service Settings set to a trading provider. It looks like it is set to SC Data - All Services, in which case there is no trading account to get data from.

It also looks like you are setup to use the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service. To get connected to the Order Routing Service, follow these instructions starting at Step #9 to get connected to your live trading account:

Hello,

Thank you for your help. I would also like to know more about setting up the virtual trading platform. I know that I need to select "Trade Simulation On," but am I supposed to see the balance of the virtual account as well or just my own trading account? I can only see the balance of my own account. Finally, for the real time streaming service, do I need to go through SC or AMP trading to make payment and does payment for the streaming get withdrawn automatically?

Thanks.

There are no account balances when using Trade Simulation Mode.

If you want an account balance, then use this service:
Simulated Futures Trading Service

The data feed is paid through your trading account with your broker. No need to pay directly.

Hello,

I am sim trading crude oil futures and wanted to know if I need to refresh the chart with the new contract symbol or is this something that updates automatically? If it doesn't update automatically, can I update the symbol without adding a new chart and changing the chart settings?

Thanks

In regards to post #5, refer to:
Changing to a New Futures Contract Month

The symbol begins with CL, and is in File >> Find Symbol >> Futures-NYMEX.

I really appreciate all of your help with my account. I have another question. lol. Is there a way to make the Numbers bars candles longer? I've figured how to make them wider, I just need them a little taller so that the numbers don't get so smashed together when a lot of data populates.

Thanks.
