Service disconnects and reconnects

I currently use SC with the SC Data Service. My orders are routing through CQG.
I'm routinely getting several service Disconnects and Reconnects throughout the day. I've had seven (7) so far today as of 1:50 pm Central. It's not unusual to see a dozen or more.

I would like to figure out if this is the SC Data Service disconnecting and reconnecting, or is it CQG's server causing the issue.

it usually reconnects very quickly, these are not long-term outages. i've done a good deal of trouble shooting with my ISP, it is not an internet interruption at all. I've also verified that by being live on line with other services and seeing no interruption to their service while my platform disconnects and reconnects.

I'm not sure i can say it happens "every day", but it certainly happens most days. Reading the message log i do see references to "Triggering next historical data download in queue." and further down "HD Request #94"

If you could point me in a direction to help find out what's causing it i would appreciate it.

Refer to the following:
CQG Trading Platform Service: Frequent Server Disconnections when Using CQG

No chance we are going to spend any time on this.

You really should switch to this service:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

Otherwise, live with the problem.

You know? All i was looking for was a simple, direct answer. And the first part of your response gave me just that.

You should have just stopped there. There's no need for the asshole responses after that initial line.

You guys are supposed to be there to support us, not give us a hard time when we need some help.

I suspected it was not your problem, and i didn't give you a hard time or make any accusations in my question. There's no need for you to give me crap for asking.

Had i given you a hard time regarding your answer, then yes, perhaps i open myself up to a second shot. But not for simply asking the question.

We are completely unapologetic. We are reaffirming what we have said.

We deal far too much with these kind of problems and we don't really care how people talk to us anymore.

The reason we have to be firm, is so that users don't come back to us, and keep asking and taking more time. So what you hear from us is merely nothing more than a reflection of our experience in general with users . You have to accept that. And look at what you said to us.

And ultimately, we have to start phasing out CQG as well and that is in the works. This situation just cannot continue and we will not allow it to continue.

We do not appreciate the way you are communicating with us. And refer to:
Sierra Chart Does Not Recommend CQG (Various Reasons)

We speak clearly for a reason.

And we are going to be abundantly clear with users, when we are being unnecessarily burdened.

If users are going to bother us with CQG problems then we are going be very forceful in our response to not use this stuff any longer.

That's fine. We don't need to keep beating it into the ground. I think i made myself clear.

And... do you think i'd have bothered you about the CQG issue had I already known about it? That's why your answers are so offensive. You seem to automatically assume we should know things that we obviously don't, and realistically have no way of knowing without asking. It is not my fault you are being unnecessarily burdened. I didn't cause the issue, and had you told me (or had I known) it would be an issue i wouldn't have chosen to route my orders through CQG.

Its fine. You are what you are. Your attitude towards your customers is abundantly clear.
