Trading functionality issues?

Hello,

please see the attached screenshot.

I have a CQG FIX connection for Trading and am testing the trading functionality on a Sim1 account.

I have been noticing some technical issues in the last couple of days, so I upgraded to the latest SC version today but now I get this new issue. My trade had a stop-loss order pending but it was not executed at all. Trading is enabled not locked.

Other issues today were, not able to exit a chartbook via "Close chartbook/Save? Yes", the chartbook just stayed as it was, multiple times. This happened yesterday also.

On DAX futures I don't see Orders and Positions on a chart even though I have all that enabled. I entered a trade order in DOM but there were no order lines seen on the chart. It works fine on some other futures contracts. This was a new issue today.

I am running this SC instance on a VPS. If that may somehow affect the platform please let me know.

What are the issues or what am I missing here?

Thank you for the solution!

Greg

Let's start with this issue:

Other issues today were, not able to exit a chartbook via "Close chartbook/Save? Yes", the chartbook just stayed as it was, multiple times. This happened yesterday also.

This would be indicative of some sort of system issue or stability issue within Sierra Chart. An exception may have occurred. We want you to enable this option:
General Settings Window: Save Message Log to File (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Log >> Log)

And then restart Sierra Chart in Safe Mode:
Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Using Safe Mode

We want to take these one at a time because most likely they are all related. So if you have this problem again, then let us know and then we want you to look for the word "exception" in the Message Log.

On DAX futures I don't see Orders and Positions on a chart even though I have all that enabled. I entered a trade order in DOM but there were no order lines seen on the chart. It works fine on some other futures contracts. This was a new issue today.
This could be related to some stability issue, but otherwise refer to:
Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Viewing Orders and Trade Position on the Chart / Trade DOM

And we apologize for the delay but this requires careful thought.

Hello,

okay, thanks, will do that.

If I start SC in Safe mode - does that limit my functionality? Can I keep trading?

Also, one question is still unresolved - my stop loss was not honored. What is it about this, please?

Thank you,

Greg

Using Safe Mode means that custom studies are not loaded.

We think the problem with the Stop loss was related to the same cause as the other problems.
