Add the study Countdown Timer to your chart. Then go to the study settings for this study and set the Input for Display Remaining Range in Ticks to Yes.

Hi,

Is there a built-in way to have the countdown timer show right next to the most recent price bar?

There is no way to have it move with the most recent bar, if that is what you are asking. But you can change the placement of the Countdown Timer. Refer to the information here:

I added Countdown Timer. Put yes Display Remaining Range in Ticks. With range bars always have number 1 and Reversal bars always 0. So, no countdown, anyone?

Thankyou

The Countdown Timer does not work on Reversal Bars, so the fact that you are seeing a zero in that case is normal.

But you should have the number of ticks remaining with a Range chart - it should not just stay at 1.

Double check that the Input for "Display Remaining Range in Ticks" is set to "Yes". And then make sure you have a new bar and see if the Countdown Timer changes when you get that new bar displayed.

There is no support for Reversal Bars.

It is not possible to give the remaining number of ticks for a Reversal Bar, as there is no limit on how large a bar can be. There is a minimum size as set in the Chart Settings, but until the reversal amount is met, the bar will continue to grow.
