Hello,
Back to SC after almost 3 years.Cant figure out what I'm missing
Current ES simbol intraday chart not updating. Using SC All Data Ser. (subscribed to SC Realtime and Historical Data Serv)
Data connection seems to be fine. If File>disconnect and then File>Connect to Data Feed, file will update to current time but does not keep updating.
Thanks

Hi There,
Charts are not updating again.
Performed https: //www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#IntegrationWithTradingServices but did not fix issue.
Charts only updating real time if only connected to trading service. If connected to SC all data there is no real time update.
Thanks

There are two problems here. The symbol is not correct. It needs to be two digits for the year. Make sure those charts are open and then use this command:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service ( Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service)

You also need to enable Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds.

And reconnect the data feed:
File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers

Hi There,
1. You identified one of the problems for the chart not updating to be a wrong symbol (missing a digit for the year). That symbol, however, was provided by SC when I opened the chart: File>>Find symbol. Is this a bug or something in my settings that is loading up the wrong symbol list. All symbols shown by SC in this action are missing a digit for the year

2. Also the Use Date Range>>From>>to in chart settings is not working. Tried giving an specific range making sure the radio button is selected but SC ignores the setting and continues drawing the chart up to the current date.

Thanks

1. There is a misunderstanding. The symbols are different for each Data/Trade Service being used. Refer to:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails1.php#Symbols

2. Refer to the documentation for that setting here:
