Hey.

I'm having disconnections issue which I hope you can help me solve. It happens couple of times on every session.

I attach a log of a disconnection from yesterday - I copied the whole log after the disconnection and then the re-loading of SC.

(I suspect DTC bridge is stop responding/crashing which leads to the disconnections - but I'm not sure if that's the reason, why it happens or how to fix it).

I'm using Rithmic/SC package 5 64bit/Windows 8.1.

No, that is not the problem. There is some other network connectivity issue.

I plan to change to your data feed some time in the future, but not right now.

Is there a way to fix the issue I'm currently having? This issue is a critical - having an open position and then SC disconnect is a disaster.

Thanks.

We intend to work on the new Rithmic Websocket API but we will only be supporting trading and not the market data from Rithmic. You will need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed in that case. We do believe this combination is going to solve the problem. We are not sure when this will be out though.

Right now we have no solution at all for this other than what we recommended above.

One thing we can tell you, is that the Sierra Chart order routing service, and the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed is so vastly superior to the current configuration Sierra Chart has to Rithmic. The interface Sierra Chart use the Rithmic is substandard. To us it is a hack. We completed the set up of two new servers for for the order routing service, one directly in the CME Aurora data center and another one in the Equinix Cermak data center. This is very reliable connectivity.

And we are also doing further work with our exchange data feed to improve that offering pricewise and the connectivity to add redundancy. This will be out in about couple of months.

Like I said, I do plan to move to your order routing/data feed combo in couple of months... but can't do it now.

There is nothing I can do, or try to do, in order to fix this current issue i'm having? This issue can be very costly :-(

Thanks.

Yes, at this time you can switch to CQG if Rithmic is not working well for you. CQG is supported as well:
