Hi,
On ES Charts vs 1882.
I have a two week old Laptop. a quadcore I7 with High PassMArk and 32GB RAM and a SSD. It makes all the difference in the speed as my chart were lagging big time.
Problem is now around and hour into trading the Open (9:30est) my charts start lagging bigtime again.
I am not a wiz at computers, but obviously somethings not right.

My settings are: Number of T&S Stored 120,000 (Is this the problem?) Global Chart setting Interval to 382 (This is not 100 or below as Sierra advises would be too fast and cause lag.
I have 3 charts open. 1 min, 20 sec, and Range per Bar set at 1.
Yes,I would assume that last chart draws a lot which is why I upgraded my laptop. But I cant imagine Sierra cant handle a chart like that with the laptop I have.
Is it because by 1 hour the cache of the 1 trade per is filled. Not even sure what that is, but I heard dumping that in a search engine can get rid of the accumulated gunk.

What can be slowing down my charts? I'm sure Sierra Charts can handle a 1 tic chart or it wouldn't be offered. There has to be some "combo" of settings that is slowing down my charts.
I have Chart studies on all charts. On the 1 trade per chart I have about 42. Most are Vert lines, etc with about 10 Alert studies, but all of these show around 42 milliseconds in there calculations. So it doesn't see that is the slow down.

Any ideas?

It might be. Try reducing it. And reconnecting to the data feed:
File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers

Otherwise, refer to help topic 30:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often

If you are having issues with the data feed itself, refer to help topic 4:
