At the suggestion of Top Step, I switched from CTS to Rithmic for data today, due to the latency issues between CTS and SC. I now have massive data issues with the Rithmic feed. Price for crude on various charts range from 57.05 (which is correct) to 5485.99. Some intraday charts have correct data for a month back and then jump to the 5500's which, of course, compresses the entire price to a pencil line. Some charts will not update past a week ago, for the same symbol that is updated to the current date on another chart (intraday charts). I have compressed data beyond 30 days ago due to the huge file size switching from CTS to Rithmic. I have done delete and re download several times. I have look at the Global Settings, Symbol settings for the correct tick size. I don't know what else to do. Please advise. Thank you |

It sounds like you are using Continuous Futures Contract charts and you will need to re-download data for all contract months in the chart as documented here: Continuous Futures Contract Charts: Re-Downloading Continuous Futures Contract Data Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Stayed up last night while SC recalculated the continuous contracts and thought I was OK. This morning, SC is "not responding." Been trying different things for an hour. I can connect with Rithmic Trader Pro direct, but not through SC. I've shut down the computer and restarted to no avail. Please help. These issues with data providers and the communication with SC (Top Step) are driving me nuts. Thanks |

By the way, I logged onto SC on another computer that still had the data provider as CTS and had no problem at all. Immediate hook up. Please advise. |

Ok, after 1 1/2 hours, SC finally connected to Rithmic. My thought is to compress my data (tick) beyond the last 30 days (after having done the delete and download for the continuous contracts), but I don't want to do anything else unless you tell me it's ok. Thank you. Hopefully you won't hear from me for a while. |

Ok, it sounds like you have a lot of charts and charts which are loading a lot of data. In this particular case when re-downloading data for continuous futures contract charts, close all of your Chartbook's and just open a new chart with no studies and set it to load the amount of data that you do in your other charts. After this do a full re-download of all contract months in that chart. Do not open your usual Chartbook until the downloading is complete. You can compress the data if you want. Also in response to this we are going to add an option to re-download data only for the historical daily data files which often is where there is an issue. This will speed up the process dramatically.

Buddy I've been having the same problems with Rithmic and SC I love SC but CTS and CQG work the best it even says it in their notes I sorta feel like we got the sham from Topstep by them saying SC recomended we change and don't get me wrong I think Coach Hoag over at Topstep is the man he's taught me a ton and I wouldn't of made it this far without him but as far as this change is concerned I think they got a discount or something from Rithmic cause they stink bro lol GL with the data feed and TST
