I have CLH19 as my main chart I watch daily on a minute bar timeframe and have noticed a significant amount of lagging in the SC data feed. I have the countdown timer on my chart and it freezes for 2 seconds quite alot and sometimes even for up to 10 seconds. The chart does not update during the freezes, but the sierra charts program is fine and responsive.

Any idea what the cause is?

Thanks.

This may be normal because there is not going to be trading every second. This is from the documentation:
One way to determine that the market was not active for a period of time when you are not seeing updating for a particular symbol, is to open a Time and Sales Window for the chart of that symbol. If you see there is no updating of the chart for the symbol for about 10 seconds and when you look at the trades at that time, you do not see any trades with a timestamp during that time, then there was no trading.

Refer to:

Also see if using low bandwidth mode makes any improvement:

We do not notice any data lagging or stoppages related to a connectivity or server issue with the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed when monitoring it from a remote location and we do extensive monitoring.

Okay, I checked the time and sales window and it does appear you are correct that there was no trade occurring during those seconds. I did not expect the countdown timer to stop when no trade was taking place.

Yes it will do that but you can change that behavior. By the setting it to count down continuously based on the real-time clock. There is a study Input for this:
