CTS feed has stalled over 20 times today on CL...TST combine. data stops for 8-20 seconds...result is market has gapped through stops and targets several times today...no confidence now...Downloaded current release...no change. Contacted CTS...said to contact SC

I second this and not just on CL. The CTS T4 feed is very prone to stalling.

I am in step 2 of TST combine..
Currently I use 2 platforms: MC for charting and SC for DOM/execution.
I use CQG feed from broker to run charts without issue. TST provides two data feed choices for executing Rithmic or CTS.

Please clarify does SCEDF work in conjunction with TST and CTS/Rithmic feeds or is it a separate feed altogether? (which is unsupported by TST)

It is supported but this is a good question and it made us realize that really you cannot use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed with top step trader due to CME rules unless you have a funded trading account which you do with CQG. So you could use it but probably the more simpler thing is just have them move you over to Rithmic instead of CTS to avoid this issue. Rithmic is supported as well.

Thank you for responding promptly.

I have had issues with both Rithmic and CTS4 feeds with TST for months with no resolution...my experience has been that bracket orders are a mess in Rithmic..while bracket orders are fine with CTS it is prone to stalls on heavy volume days. Either way both feeds don't compare to CQG which has no issues. So that I am clear you are saying I have two options:

1. Change to Rithmic from CTS...(I have read several posts on your preference for CTS over Rithmic in the past)

2. I can subscribe to the SCRT feed and still have it function through TST and either CTS or Rithmic connection. This will improve overall connection without the lag of CTS or order functioning issues of Rithmic.

Yes there should be no problem with this but just make sure you connect once a month to your CQG account as explained here to authorize the CME data:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees

What is so awful about the situation is we have our own stable reliable trade simulation environment which can be used by Top Step Trader but due to CME exchange fee issues, it becomes cost prohibitive. But we are going to raise this issue with the CME soon. But actually thinking about this because you are going to be using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and have a funded account you can use this system. Should we set you up an account on it?

Again thank you for taking the time to help me resolve this matter.

1. I contacted TST to confirm that your SCRT feed is compatible with their combine connectivity and they assure me that it is not. They confirm that if using the SC platform with TST the only available data feeds are CTS or Rithmic. If you still feel this is incorrect perhaps when you have time you could reach out to your contact at TST and resolve this issue.

2. As far as your RT simulator I feel that is a valuable practice tool. Is it or do you plan to offer this service to any trading firm(s) similar to TST as a means of independent trader performance evaluation? If it is I would like to know which firms are utilizing this tool.

1. Please do not ask them. They do not have the technical understanding in this area. What we tell you is correct . You can use it but you must have a funded trading account and go through this procedure:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees

2. Yes we plan to offer it to trading firms, but the problem is with the exchange fees. If a user cannot be verified to have a funded trading account they have to pay the higher priced professional fees which can be up to hundreds a month. Once we become a direct vendor with the CME, we will raise this issue with them and see what we can accomplish.

I have activated the SCRT exchange abd integrated it with my CTS4 connection at TST. Thank you for your guidance and patience in this matter. So far I am pleased that my connection is showing all available depth (CTS was only 10 levels) and order routing is functioning properly.

The instructions mention that indication of using this feed is marked by am "M" after the symbol...I do not see the "M" but know that I must be using the feed because of the new levels available. Has this changed or do I need to do a symbol update?
