Im currently using xtrader which is about to be made obsolete. I am looking to move over to sierra chart.

I really only really need the market profile chart, a DOM ladder and a market footprint type tool. I understand these functions are included in the advanced package so this is how I have priced my package up.

Just two more questions, I presume there is a spread function where I can create spread charts and finally for a market opening out of an auction such as Oil on a sunday evening after the weekend is there an indicitive box thats shows you where a market is opening in relation to a prior close?

Tanks very much, here is my total, just let me know if I have this correct or is there some additional cost im not factoring in?

$33 Sierra chart advanced features package
$15.75 ( full CME group non pro account )
$21 ( Eurex non professional feed )
$135 ( ICE Financials)
$35 100 real time symbols 1st connection.

$ 239.75 Total

Cheers,

This all looks correct, provided that you have a funded trading account with a supported Trading service (Needed for Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) with Market Depth for nonprofessional Trading accounts):

Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges

And are considered a non-professional by the exchanges.

, I presume there is a spread function where I can create spread charts
Yes, there are different ways of doing spreads. There are several different studies for this and also the exchange listed spreads can be charted as well and there is also this new feature:
Custom Calculated Symbols

and finally for a market opening out of an auction such as Oil on a sunday evening after the weekend is there an indicitive box thats shows you where a market is opening in relation to a prior close?
Not totally sure what you are looking for but perhaps the Daily OHLC study would be useful:
Daily OHLC

In regards to pricing when using CQG, we cannot answer any questions about CQG pricing but we can answer questions for Sierra Chart pricing and the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:

Service package 5 (Advanced) is 33 USD per month.

For the Sierra Chart exchange data feed you will need to pay:
35 USD per month for the real-time connection
15.75 USD per month for the CME Group
21 USD per month for the EUREX.
ICE USA  115.50 USD / month
ICE Europe  131.25 USD / month

You do not need to pay any market data fees to CQG. Only for the order routing and whatever their monthly fee is. These are the only costs.

Hi Guys, I was told be my broker that

"Upon further review, you may need WebAPI for trading, not fix. The WebAPI is $.10 per contract vs $.05."

Please follow up with you rep."

So I presume this mean instead of the Sierra chart exchange data feed he wants me to go with CQG for both order routing and the data feed.

Can you let me know is my broker correct on this please?

You can use the CQG Web API for trading and still use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed for market data. This is not a problem. This is fully supported and there is nothing special to do in this case.

For reference here are the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed Set up instructions:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Setup Instructions

Also, we are going to understand this kind of configuration much better than your broker. Your broker will not know what we know.

Just to clarify on the earlier question on futures markets opening up out of an auction, such as say the crops at US cash open is there any way to link the auction price to a chart to see where the market is opening in relation to the prior cash close or just in relation to the previous days traded range...does my question make sense?

Cheers

Yes in general we think we understand what you are saying and you can use the Daily OHLC study to draw lines for the previous days high and low and close at the current day open.

Here is an example of what you can do:
http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1545687684181.png

In this chart you can see that this past Sunday evening there are lines representing Friday's high, low, and close values. Those will exist right at the 1st opening bar of Sunday.

Hey Guys,

I have just changed over my live trading account from tt to Sierra after the 2 week free trial. I am having difficulty logging in and the status is coming up as "not connected" in the top left hand corner of the screen. The system notification message is saying " youre paid usage time has ended. You are in free mode notice. I contacted my brokers advantage and said they cant see what the problem is and to contact Sierra. Can you look into my account and see why its not coming up as registered please and let me know what to do...

Cheers,
George

Ok thanks for that.does this charge come out at my brokerage account fees or will i have to set up a seperafe payment method. Is this a data charge or time spent using the platform charge? Is there a price guide for this usage time?

You make a payment for Sierra Chart as we explained in the prior post. It does not come from your brokerage account. Pricing is fully explained here:
Description of Service Packages and Pricing

Is this a data charge or time spent using the platform charge?
Both of these.

Great thanks, I am using the tpo profile so I presume I will be paying for the service package 5. Which will be a seperate payment than on my brokerage account. Is there any way to link this to the broker just to make the whole billing process more straight forward. I am having a few other teething issues with the platform. One is I seem to be on the sim mode and unable to get into live mode despite trying to comoe off it. In my order book i can see any activity but it seems to be on the a sim account and my balance and positions is 0.00.

Have you any idea where im going wrong or is my account not live yet? I have accessed the live account now thanks but there does seem to be an issue as the balance is coming up at 0.00 and I have put on a few trades today and my broker has me up around $40 or so. Is there any reason why my p&l balance is not updating?

No, this is not supported.

Refer to:

In general, you cannot utilize Sierra Chart for account balance information. This cannot be supported with external services in general.

Im not looking for an account balance, but a running total for daily trades. Just to let me know where I am when things get busy or I have a lot of orders open in the market. Surely there is some screen or trade activity log setting that allows a daily p&l to be seen?
