But those instructions set the custom colors on the Color Selection window globally throughout Sierra Chart. It applies any time the Color Selection window is displayed.

Okay we understand why Define Custom Colors is grayed out because the rightmost part of that window is already displayed. We will update the documentation.

This doesnt help me much (or i completely misunderstand how to do it) I would like the ease of clicking a colour and making it the colour i want it to be. as it stands right now my custom colours are mostly black. How do I actually make them all different colours to my liking? |

You do not need to use the Define Custom Colors option. Once the color selection window is open, select one of the 16 Custom Colors boxes and then adjust the color on the right to be what you want. Then select the Add to Custom Colors button and it will update that specific Custom Color box. This is all described in the documentation referenced above. Yes. This is all clearly documented. Once again review the documentation. This is a Microsoft Windows interface.

I am having the same problem. I have mostly black custom colors and when I click on one of the black boxes then it brings up the black color on the right. I click on the color panel above to choose/make a custom color but the box below remains black instead of changing to the new color. I even tried "adding to custom colors" to no avail. I would think that I would click on a custom color, pick the color and the box below would show the new color and I would add to custom colors. Something so simple should not be so complicated. |
