Trading from charts via Infinity using IQFeed for Data

I am trying to set up a connection to Infinity to trade directly from charts/DOM (as oppose to the broker AT Dom). Currently I receive data from IQFeed and as far as I can tell it is not possible to also connect Sierra to Infinity to trade from the charts - it seems the only way to do this is to receive data from Infinity (via Transact Trading feed service). Is this correct or is it possible to receive data from IQFeed whilst also connecting to Infinity/Transacts direct trading service to trade directly from Sierra charts/dom. Many thanks.

Gents, since setting up the above ( 2 x copies, SOURCE set to receive data from IQ FEED, DESTINATION from Transact - trading) I have been experiencing problems with the DESTINATION copy, from which I am trading & reading my charts. Functionality has declined (e.g. when I select to draw a rectangle(elongated) to enter a zone on my charts I am no longer able to select Tool Config 1, 2, 3, etc). The cursor moves quite slowly around the screen, switching between charts & chartbooks has a slight delay and when I open the charts it takes a while to load (much longer than usual). My CPU usage does not appear particularly high and there are no stability issues - e.g. No crashes, all trade data/trades are sent and received by the Infinity system accurately. Make sure you have a drawing tool selected on the Tools menu. You should then be able to choose the particular configuration you want to Tools >> Current Tool Config. Are those menu items disabled? They should not be as long as you have a drawing tool selected other than Pointer. There should not be any performance issues when using chart and other data from a remote instance of Sierra Chart. We do not think we have ever heard this before. So you should be able to solve the problem by looking through the items in help topic 30. One question we have is do you have Global Settings >>General Settings >> Use Non-Chart Data from Remote Instances enabled? Do you notice any difference with performance when you change this setting? Thank you for your speedy response. The issue with the drawing tool was not that it didn't work but that it loaded very slowly from the toolbar - basically I have the rectangle and tool config1,2,3,4 etc. on my toolbar and when I selected the toolbar it did not give me the option to change the tool config from 1,2,3 etc. With regard to the Global Settings >>General Settings >> Use Non-Chart Data from Remote Instances - I had this ticked in the DESTINATION copy of SIerra but not the SOURCE copy. Have now made sure it is ticked in both, and performance seems to be better. I will see how things go when live data begins to stream. Can you see from my message logs posted above whether my charts are correctly set up to trade through Transact using IQFeed for data? There are some error messages present but the actual trading side doesn't appear to have any issues at all. Thanks again.

For the time being it appears to have resolved itself - perhaps it was an issue with Windows 8 (I know its not recommended to use this!) CPU usage was NOT high - about 12% for Sierra Chart. Anyway, thanks again for your excellent support - if I have further issues I will contact you again. Cheers.

Please clarify how to set up to receive data from Sierra (historical & intraday/realtime)whilst continuing to trade from the charts through Infinity. Ok this is mostly set up although I have a few issues. 1) My attached orders 'bracket is not being submitted to Infinity/Transact. Get the following message in the message log. We have discovered the problem: Order 2013-12-02 19:17:55.008 6EZ3 Transact Futures order report (Order reject). This is because there is not a request to the TransAct market data feed which provides the necessary multiplier for order prices. We are able to calculate this multiplier though on our side. We are implementing a solution now. Although we are not quite sure how to calculate it for the CBOT markets which use fractions and we are contacting TransAct about this. Ok gents, thank you. I'm not sure if it is related, but on the internal Sierra Chart sim trading, only on 6B contracts, when one enters a position it immediately closes out for a 120 odd tick profit. Earlier on it was also saying it didn't recognize the contract....if this is a different issue then no problem, I can give you more info tomorrow. Thanks for all your help.
