Hello,

i'm using amp as a broker and cts t4 for datafeed. I had an open positon earlier today, but after I manually closed it, it disappeared from the chart, as normal.

Amp trade desk cannot see any open positions, but their statement is showing an open position - trade desk cannot close the position, I have to wait until tomorrow morning to contact them again. AMP is blaming the platform, why is that possible?

This is the second time it happened and everybody was just pointing to the other - never figured out, what happened.

Is there a way to terminate this invisible position?

What is reason of this problem??

Thank you,

Zolie

Only CTS would have the capability and knowledge to be able to troubleshoot and explain this problem.

The issue is definitively not on the Sierra Chart side.

Reconnect to the data feed:
File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers

And then look at the Trade Service Positions tab to see if you see the position there. Refer to:
Trading Information Windows: Trade Positions Window

If not, then the CTS FIX system is not reporting it and CTS needs to look into why this is the case or explain this.

Or it is possible that the statement is just simply wrong.

Hello,

Thank you. If I switch to Sierra Chart data feed can I keep AMP as a brokerage or do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Zolie

Thank you!

Can you please provide instructions for Sierra Chart's datafeed with AMP? What do i have to tell them to change at their side?

Zolie is there actual position or is it reporting error?

Can you report reason for this problem here once identified by CTS, to help other Amp/CTS users to prevent this?

Here are the set up instructions:

Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Setup Instructions

Your broker does not have to change anything at their side.

If you are using CTS and also using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed, we recommend using the low-cost connection model which is documented here:

Was this ever explained/rectified? Sounds like a serious risk for the trader with Amp/CTS/SC if no one can explain/accept responsibility/correct.

We have no answer about this from our side. This is something that CTS would have to explain. One thing we can say though, is that this is the first time we have heard about something specific like this.
