For several commodities I have been using symbol format CL# with rollover specified in Chart Settings>Advanced Settings>Continuous Contract>Continuous Futures Contract>Date Rule Rollover. Beginning Jan 01, 2018 I have been receiving this error - (see attached). This was working fine prior to Jan 01 - the last data points are Dec 29, 2017. I have data in these charts back for numerous years - I do NOT want to lose this data.

I was using version 1674 when this began and just upgraded to 1680 and this issue still exists. How can I correct this and maintain my historical data files?

This is not used with symbols with a # in them. It is simply has no relevancy whatsoever. It should be set to None. This has always been the case, and do not claim otherwise because this has never been the case.

In the Prereleases, we do see a problem where data is not downloading for historical daily charts with a # in them and we will look into that.

Wow. :( What did I do to illicit such an accusatory reply? I attempt to word my posts in a non-confrontational manner and with respect. Is it too much to ask similar in reply from someone that is being compensated by the customer?

All I know is somehow the symbol on my charts for energies were CL#, NG#, HO# and data updated fine until post-12.29.17. I have noticed that even attempting to enter HOH18 as symbol and choosing rollover, no data loads at all and I have data files for various HO contracts in my data directory. That symbol does not seem to be recognized no matter the month-year I choose.

What we have said was really in relation to the error message indicating that Symbol Settings are not found for the symbol. We know that error message would have occurred even in prior versions unless you had special symbol settings set up for the symbol. We just want to be clear that we could not believe or accept that something changed in relation to that.

This has now been solved.

To update the charts, at this time you can select Edit >>Download Data For All Historical Charts.

I completed Edit >>Download Data For All Historical Charts.

The error for HO symbols remains. I have 12 monthly contracts' data back to 2003. None of these will load with HOG18 selected as the chart symbol and date rule rollover selected. See attached error. There are no issues with other symbols, CL or NG.
