Frozen Data Feed via Multiple Brokers

To Whom It May Concern, One copy of Green Charts (SC white label version) is stored to the hard drive of my computer. A second copy/ instance of SC via the Broker (Transact Futures) was installed and labeled separately via the installation folder. The Data Feed via Transact Futures is working correctly after tech support made some back end adjustments. However, the data feeds via alternative brokers i.e. TD Ameritrade, AMP Futures, NinjaTrader remain frozen, despite selecting the correct service provider and populating the correct username and password per the "Data/Trade Service Settings". Note: The historical data will download, but the market movements and pricing are frozen. The Manager of Green Charts (white label) and Tech Support via the Brokers always point me back to Sierra Charts for assistance. Previous communications with Sierra Charts suggests the issue rests with the Broker. Consequently, I am in the middle, without a solution. Logic would suggest that the data feeds should toggle and work correctly from one broker to another (without freezing). Is there a reasonable solution without having to uninstall and reinstall Green Charts/ Sierra Charts? How is the data feed restored per the broker of choice? I look forward to your reply. Jay

Hi, The solution (matching two digit year) was applied and resolved today per the following path/ sequence: File >> Find Symbol >> Change Chart Symbol Note: the foregoing path/ sequence is required each time when toggling between brokers and/or services providers via the Data/Trade Service Settings window. That seems reasonable what you have done. But really we do not recommend changing between Data and Trading Services in a single instance of Sierra Chart. You really complicate things unless you know what you are doing. Hi, Matching the two-digit year per the method mentioned in my previous communication does not work when observed closely. Further, redundant files (transact platform, charts, etc) were deleted. Additionally, a second instance was installed and is dedicated for the firetip platform for trial testing. However, the original issue remains which first occured when the TransAct platform and charts were installed last September. The SC all data services feed will download the historical data, but freezes thereafter. Nonetheless, the Forex feed continues to work without issues. I've performed all the tasks per the instructions to the best of my understanding. I love the charts when they are working, but find it perplexing that my prop group (white label/ Green Chart - Kevin Jones Jr. et al) lacks the knowledge or support staff to resolve the issue. Why am I paying for the monthly white label Green Chart service if they can't help me? Does SC all data services support Futures? I am presently in day two of my free trial period for the firetip platform. It's frustrating that I cannot test it against Sierra Charts? Why the ongoing issue? I simply want to trade. Instead, I find myself reading deeper and deeper, to no end, but still lack the technical savvy to resolve this issue. Will someone help me get operational again? What is the relevancy of " firetip platform "? We do not know what this is. When using "SC Data - All Services", the futures charts are not going to update in real time unless you are using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed Also refer to this section here about futures data: Is Historical and Real-time Futures Data Included? I simply want to trade. Instead, I find myself reading deeper and deeper, to no end, This is because the futures exchanges want it this way. They go further and further to create more and more frustration for you. And this problem just does not affect us, it affects any provider of futures data . Re: Firetip - it's a stand-alone DOM. Re: "SC Data - All Services". As I recall, "SC Data - All Services" for futures was working prior to installing the TransAct platform. Are you suggesting that the level three package and "SC Data- All Services" excludes futures? What was the point of updating the two digit year and installing a second instance? Why lead me down that path if I am in need of a different data feed? Clarification requested!
