Hi, I have been having different incidents with SC concerning data flow and Dom response.
I put on 1 long ES position with a bracket order this morning @ 2125.75 stop @2123.75 profit target @2129.50
I attempted to cancel the stop order, but it did not disappear from the Dom then the price ladder and all functions of the Dom froze. I contacted the trade desk and they informed me the stop was canceled and the market hit my set profit target and I was out of the market. I closed and restarted SC several times and also attempted to download the most recent version of SC and it still shows the same 1448 version like it did not update. I have not been able to re-establish a data connection since this morning.

I did not change anything and closed everything buy SC. It is not a high usage problem. For some reason it will not connect to my data feed it just keeps trying to reconnect. Charts are fine and I can do everything else on SC just no data connecting.

If Sierra Chart is freezing, that it normally would be caused by high CPU usage or some system problem. Help topic 30 has all known causes of that described.

Regarding the connection problem we will need to see the Message Log. Provide that by following these instructions:

We have been contemplating this problem:
I attempted to cancel the stop order, but it did not disappear from the Dom then the price ladder and all functions of the Dom froze.

What we think happened is that at the time you canceled the stop order, for reasons unknown the connection was lost to Rithmic, or the Rithmic bridge program abnormally shutdown because of a Rithmic API crash. And then when Sierra Chart started the Rithmic bridge program, the Rithmic API entered a freezing condition which passed through to the main process of Sierra Chart.

This is one reason why we dislike Rithmic so much. It uses an in process API component:

If the problem is what we think, we recommend not continuing to use Rithmic and instead use CQG:
