I've been trying for the last few days and the new installer just won't work on my system. I have just downloaded the latest SierraChartFileDownloader.exe (4,494,848 bytes). Here are the screenshots: http://i.imgur.com/sgrv1Og.png http://i.imgur.com/srwwlAa.png http://i.imgur.com/IxusfYI.png I'm still on Windows XP but that shouldn't be an issue, everything else works just fine (new and old versions of SC, IB TWS, Firefox, IE, Opera, Pegasus Mail). Windows error code 10060 usually indicates router problems, I'm on DSL connection with a modem and a router. Is there a full installer 1419.SierraChartSetupNoCLRPrerelease.exe available anywhere? Personally, I avoid using using those mini installers as much as possible, there are always problems with them. Full installers are bullet proof. Full installer is also the best solution to upgrade multiple instances of SC. With a mini installer you end up pulling 20 or so MB of files from the server for each instance. The problem clearly looks to be caused by a firewall on your system. There is no other practical explanation especially if you can browse this website from the same computer. This is not true of the Sierra Chart installer because only those files which are changed will be downloaded. The files are compressed when downloaded. It is very fast and efficient. We no longer maintain a full installer and do not have complete confidence in the old one. We are glad to be rid of it. This new one has been developed by us. It uses the same HTTP functionality that is within Sierra Chart. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Thanks. The problem was indeed caused by the firewall (Comodo). It was apparently blocking SC installer even after being shut down. I always shut down the firewall before installing any application to avoid all firewall pop-up warnings, but in this case it didn't work. The solution was to actually restart Comodo, run SC installer, and then accept all installer related traffic as safe. Btw, I have found installer's error log, it's better than screenshots. It seems that this file is created only in case of installation failure. SierraChart\Logs\Installer Log yyyy-mm-dd nnnnnn.log
