Hi,

I tried to install on my new computer Sierra Charts but I need a login and password which is not the same I use for the trading services. I don't know the password and login. How do I know this? Please help me. For the record, I can trade on my old computer so there is no stress but of course I want to use SC on my new one.

You need to use the same Account Name and Password that you use to log into this Support Board with. It is the same.

You will also need to pay for Sierra Chart usage time on your account. You can do that by selecting Help >> Purchase from within Sierra Chart.

Thanks but sorry, that doesn't work unfortunately. I have access at the Support Board with an "old" username and password. If I try to login at SC with that password I am getting an System Notification Message which tells me "Your account has 0 Days of usage time left. I don't understand.

I am using the same username for access trading services and support board. Only the password is different. I can't remember my password for Sierra Charts because on my old PC I only have to use my login name and password for trading services......automatically Sierra Charts is starting up. That's the reason I can't remember my password.

And what do you mean by paying for Sierra Chart usage time on your account? I am paying automatically $ 15,95 per month if I am trading < 20 roundturns per month. Otherwise it is free for paying. I have my account at Transact Futures. Please help me.

Regards,
Johan

You need to use a Sierra Chart account that you have with us to use Sierra Chart and pay us directly:

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_DirectAccount.html

You already have an account and that is the one you use to log into this Support Board.

If you want us to reset the password and send it to you by email, let us know.

OK, but what does this mean for logging in at the trading services? I think this has nothing to do with it I hope and expect. So, please send me by email a new password which I can use for Sierra Chart and the support board. I hope I understand it correctly. Thanks anyway.

Your Sierra Chart account is completely separate from your Trading service account.

And you will have to pay for Sierra Chart to use Sierra Chart with your own Sierra Chart account.

It would be best that you retrieve your password with this form:

OK, I will do this with the form. Sorry, but I don't want to have any trouble with logging in so........... once again...
You are telling me twice that I have to pay for Sierra Chart but I do this already from the beginning. I pay $ 15,95 per month for it and I have an account at Transact Futures. Sorry again. Thanks!

Please review the information on this page and you will understand what we are saying:

What you pay your broker has no relevancy to us.

I am getting very very frustrated about this. It's not my own language but my english is not that bad that I don't understand but....

I did exactly what I read in the links above you send me. I think that it won't work because I have to pay you for using Sierra Charts (??) but you might understand I don't do that because I pay already for Sierra Charts. I received an email with notifications I already know. My account name for using SC and my old password that won't work because it is expired...... I tried another complete new password but no results.

Please, can you tell me in easy english why I can't use Sierra Charts on my new PC.

Yes, this is correct.

but you might understand I don't do that because I pay already for Sierra Charts.

Yes, we understand. And this is why you cannot proceed further and why there is step 7 here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_DirectAccount.html

Once you have completed the steps and now have a direct Sierra Chart account, you will no longer need your other Sierra Chart account you may have had through the affiliate. You will no longer need to pay for Sierra Chart through the affiliate if you have been doing that, and can cancel with them. To make a payment for Sierra Chart directly through us, select Help >> Purchase on the menu.

We have clear instructions and procedures established for this case. So the problem here is, that you are not following through the procedures and this is what causes the frustration. We understand why you are not following the procedure, but you must.

The Sierra Chart account you are receiving through your broker is a limited account.

OK, it's clear now. Maybe I can copy some install- and windowsfiles from my old computer to the new one and it's working?
