If they offer package 5 for 25 a month can I decline their data (ttnet) and still go with the SC Real time and historical data. I'm assuming if the answer is yes my fees wiill be 35 for data a month to SC plus 25 a month to amp for the platform.

I ONLY trade the ES but I need market depth and my main concern is a) how much will my exchange fee be per month) and b) how do I avoid being double charged (charged for the exchange fee by amp and SC)

These are good questions.

I'm currently investigating fee options in this thread:

CME 'Top of Book' data option

So far this is my progress/understanding:

Both scenarios involve using Sierra Charts thru AMP:

1) If I choose to use Sierra Charts with the SC Real-time and historical data feed (decline TTNet as feed), then both the $15/mo CME fee (with market depth) and the $3/mo fee (w/o market depth) are available.

2) If I choose Sierra with the default TTNet as my data feed, only the $15/mo CME fee is currently available.

Also in both cases, Sierra platform fees would be:

Package 3 = free
Package 5 = $25/mo

Just out of curiosity, are you wanting Sierra's data feed for their proclaimed accuracy of bid/ask data? This accuracy may be true, but I believe this is a separate concept independent of market depth.

My understanding of market depth is the alleged bids/asks you see on the trading DOM (price ladder).

I don't REALLY need the depth of market (several levels of depth) I'm using volume and Number Bars. Therfore, I probably only need the top of the book but these data fees/platform fees/exchange fees has my head spinnning. All I want to do is trade and not worry about all of this crap. I want the BEST bid ask data out there, and from what Ive heard, SC real time and historical data is just as good as IQFEED which is the gold standard. With it being a fraction of the cost I think its a no brainer. Unfortunately, thats where the no brainers end :(

The one thing we need to make clear here is that to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed, requires your own direct paid for Sierra Chart account. Not one provided through a broker affiliate.

We do not know how to avoid being charged more than once for exchange fees. We understand the CME is working on a solution. But obviously it is not a high priority for them. Although we would think whatever method they have, implementation wise it would not be easy for anyone.

Meaning a paid for software package??? Or just a separate login to fund the data feed??

I ask because my broker provided login shows the Allow Support for Sierra Charts Data Feeds option as checked in the DTS dialog and it is able to be toggled on/off.

You need to have your own Sierra Chart account that you pay directly to us for at standard prices. Here are the instructions:

I have a direct account already...just not active due to the broker provided logon from AMP.

We do not know how to avoid being charged more than once for exchange fees.
On your documentation page explaining your real-time data feed, you mention the following:

If you pay separately to your Trading service for market data, you can unsubscribe from that market data you are receiving through the Sierra Chart data feed.
So wouldn't this payment for data be the CME exchange fee??

I have no other fees from them (AMP/TTNet) because the platform (package 3) is provided for free with TTNet as the data feed.

See if you can cancel the exchange fees through your broker, which you would pay with the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed.

I was reading in another thread (Which data feed should I choose for AMP Futures: TTnet, Rithmic or Sierra Chart) that 100% accurate bid/ask volume exists for CQG & CTS-T4 data feeds.

Since AMP offers Sierra with CQG, does this mean one could use package 5 from AMP with the CQG data feed and obtain the same accuracy (numbers bars, etc) as a direct Sierra license with the SC real-time data feed?
