Hello suppport....it is my understanding that the CME offers a 'Top of Book' option for data as seen on the bottom of page 1 in the following document:

http://www.cmegroup.com/market-data/distributor/files/market-data-policy-changes-2014.pdf

Sierra also confirms this option in the 'Introduction' section at the following link (2nd item in list) and indicates this is offered with an account through a supported futures trading service (which AMP/TTNet is one):

Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed

So...I have an account with AMP/TTNet and inquired with them about this option due to the mandatory fees initiated by the CME this year 2015. AMP says they do not know about or provide this functionality. I explained to them that I have been using this option for much of 2014. How? Well as you guys may know, in the Data/Trade Service Settings dialog window, using 'AMP/TTNet' under the Service: dropdown box, there is a data field entitled Requested Market Depth: and 'Top of Book' is one of the choices availabe. Choosing this results in only the nearest bid & ask on the trading DOM. Works great.

So my question is how do I make this option available for me? I realize that other options (such as 'Full Book' or 2-10 levels) are available in this Requested Market Depth field, but do you guys have the ability to restrict a specific account so that only 'Top of Book' is available in this field. Otherwise, there would be nothing preventing me from switching to different options even if I was only paying for limited depth.

AMP says other clients have inquired about this but they suggested contacting you guys and/or TT to find out how this is achieved.

Any ideas on how this functionality can be achieved?? And how to integrate this with AMP/TTNet specifically??

Thx.

At this point any questions regarding CME data policies will not be responded to, unless we see the answer as critical or we are able to actually provide practical help.

This question is simply not within the scope of our support and we will not comment on it.

We do not want to be contacted further about this, all of the CME questions and problems are getting to be very burdensome and we are not pleased with it.

Then I would say simply remove the following from your website:

Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) for nonprofessional Trading accounts: Price 3.25 USD/month. Can only be used by Sierra Chart users with a trading account with one of the supported futures Trading Services.

Sorry to bother you.

dont get your question.. the "TOP OF BOOK" option from CME is the option without market depth what sierra offers (ok they may add 25 cents per month)..(?)

If you look at the 1st link in post #1 (link to CME document - bottom of page 1) you will see the table that reflects a 'Top of Book' option for $3/mo (bundle) or $1/month (individual exchanges).

That should clear it up for you.

i have seen that... still.. do you want to split those $3 and have sierra to offer individual packages? because of $3? really?

you better skip trading then.. thats not even a roundturn in commissions..

when you get a chance, please show me (with a direct quote from this thread) where I specifically requested that Sierra Charts break $3 into smaller pieces.

so then, please clearify what you want?

sierra is offering the $3 option AND it does offer the $15 option with market depth..

what else are you asking for? its completely unclear.

Well, unless you work for the CME, AMP Futures, Sierra Charts, or Trading Technologies......there is nothing I want from you specifically.

yes they do.....if you are using their (Sierra Chart's) real-time data feed.....which I am not

If you are a trader with AMP Futures using Sierra Charts with TTNet as the data feed (which I am).....the 'Top of Book' option is not available yet.....hence the origin of this thread. I'm already in contact with AMP Futures & Trading Technologies regarding this issue. This thread was simply an effort to involve Sierra in the loop.....obviously they were not interested.

You seem to be real interested though....not sure why really. You have your needs as a trader.....I have mine. In my case, I do not need market depth so why would I want to pay for it if an option that is 80% less is offered. It would be a different story if I was trying to persuade the CME or Sierra or AMP or TT to offer a lower price for data....but that's not the case.

The CME is mandating these fees and they are offering 2 data licensing options - 'Top of Book' & 'Full Market Depth'. So theoretically, all brokers, platforms, data feeds should have this available. Clearly, this is not the case yet. And because this world of trading involves an array of various moving parts (exchange, broker, platform, data feed, etc) the potential for everyone not being up to speed exists.

I am with you bekitz3.

I have the same configuration as you and I eagerly await AMP making this offer available, after-all, as you point out, CME have made the Top of Book data licencing option available for over a year now.

Yes, I emailed Dan about this in December 2014, but he has not got back to me.

He is normally quick to respond to emails so I suspect this down the priority list for them given AMP get nothing out of it ie they are only collecting a fee on behalf of CME.
