This is wrt my trial with GFDL. Earlier at the start of the session SC was working fine. Now its showing Connecting..........
Here, the market session is still ON for next 4 hours. Yesterday also at the same time SC didnt work from around 10.50 am to 11.15 am. Today the same issue.

Can you please fix up this issue as its annoying as not only I am losing trading time but historical bid/ask data which cant be stored/retrieved/downloaded.

I hope you understand the problem. DO you need log details or you already have that data?

The problem will either be with your Internet connection to the server of the Data/ Trading Service you are using.

Refer to help topic 1.2.

The Sierra Chart Message Log will give more information about the problem. It can be opened with Window >> Show/Hide Message Log.

1. I have sent you the copy of message log via send for analysis (mentioning this thread)
2. I didn't face any internet issues during that period. Infact I have a fast internet connection. All my s/w were working correctly.

What does GFDL stand for?

We had thought you were referring to Global Data Feeds-India which is a Data service that Sierra Chart supports.

We see you are using CTS FIX and not the other Service we thought. The time zone in Sierra Chart is set to UTC.

The time of the disconnection to the server, in what time zone is that?

Yes, I was talking about Global Data Feeds - India only.
I also took trial for CTS too. And when I use both of them at different times, I do change the time settings accordingly.
The time of disconnection wrt Global Data Feed is in the timezone of New Delhi (+5.30 IST). I do not face any problems throughout the day when I use CTS FIX.
Infact, on Friday, 14th Nov, 2014, I was using both the feeds simultaneously (by using 2nd copy of Sierra Charts) to check if CTS FIX also has connection problems. CTS FIX was working fine, but Global Data Feed got disconnected between 10.50am to 11.15am. I faced the same problem at same time on 13th Nov, 2014 as well.

BTW - do you shut/stop your servers connected to Global Data Feed anytime of the day??

It would be best to contact Global Data Feeds about this at the time you have a problem. And at the moment you have a problem, you can post the Message Log here so we can have a look at it to tell you what the particular communication error is. However, all we can do is give you some general information but not solve the problem.

Sierra Chart connects directly to the Global Data Feeds server. There is no Sierra Chart server involved in this.

The Message Log you posted was not relevant because it only showed a connection to CTS.

You can use CTS and Global Data feeds at the same time by installing another copy of Sierra Chart (Update: we see you already are doing this):
