need Sierra for charting only, non-professional user question

hey, I'm looking at Sierra just for charting futures (/es,/mes,/nq,/mnq). It is my understand that in order to get non professional user status i have to have an account set up that can trade futures, even if I'm not trading it. i trade with ThinkOfSwim and have an IRA I can trade futures in, will this count? the instruction i had read said i had to have Sierra connect to it once a month. thanks john |

You do need to connect your Sierra Chart software your live, funded, futures trading account in order to verify your non-professional standing for the CME Group. Refer to the following: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges Unfortunately, we do not have connectivity with ThinkOrSwim, so you can not use that account to verify your standing. In this case, we recommend the solution outlined at the following link: Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement Also, be aware that for the CME Group, we have our Delayed Streaming data that is 10 minutes and 10 seconds behind the real-time data. If you do not need the real-time data and can get by with this delay, then there is nothing special you need to do. This data is available with any package.
