Hello

I have used SC for many years and had a 6 month break I'm back now

I am subscribed to Denali (L2) and have a >$100 account with AMP (futures) (155068)

Priority - When I first started up the chart (Gold) it looked OK. but today the L2 data is all missing (except for the current price level)
Also this morning I was getting Volume Rollover Required messages, which is not right as I'm on on the current period, also strange that those messages are now gone ?

Could you please help me, as I do have some work to complete

Thank you in anticipation

Gold rolled to the Dec-contract = GCZ26 and if you don't have a realtime level2 subscription, you'll get delayed data (best bid/ask)

I'm sure someone from support-team will answer soon, they know which subscription you've

First, make sure you have the correct symbols for the service you are connected to. To ensure they are the correct ones, select "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service". Refer to the following:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service

If that does not resolve it, then check the items called out at the following link:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Troubleshooting Market Depth Data Not Displaying in Chart/Trade DOM Columns

This is why we wonder if you have the correct symbols.

As noted by User135243 the most active contrct for GC is the December (Z) contract. Make sure you have that contract selected.

Keep in mind that a notice to rollover based on Volume can come and go, depending on the timing and the daily volume traded. Refer to the following that controls whether you are notified of a rollover based on Volume or not:
General Settings Window: Detect Rollover Of Current Futures Contracts Symbols Based On Real Time Volume (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Charts >> Symbol)

Trading in the GC/MGC Aug Q contract ended yesterday 07/29 at 8:20 AM CST at Interactive Brokers. Other brokers ended trading in the Aug Q contract earlier. GC and MGC are physical delivery. Since physical delivery is not allowed at most brokers, your positions would be liquidated once the cutoff date is reached.

Today 07/30 starts the process where traders still holding the Aug Q contract will be randomly assigned GC 100 ounces or MGC 10 ounces of gold for physical delivery. Once assigned physical delivery, you are expected to make arrangements for delivery of gold. Once you are assigned, I don't think you can avoid physical delivery.

Physically delivered commodities like gold, silver, copper, oil end trading in the month prior to the contract month.

Why Dec? not crystal clear, Gold normally rolls each 2 month, but it doesn't trade the Oct contract (or just very less contracts, nothing for retail-traders. So after Dec it will roll to 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 again :)

AI Overview

Active Contract Months

December (GCZ): The most active benchmark contract with the highest overall liquidity and volume.

February (GCG): Heavily traded active front month following December.
