Chart stops drawing bars — only full restart fixes it (Rithmic + Denali)

Problem:
My chart randomly stops drawing new bars even though the data feed is still connected and running, and order execution continues to work normally. The chart just freezes — no new bars are painted.

What does NOT fix it:

Reconnecting the data feed
Reload and Recalculate
The only fix: Fully close and restart Sierra Chart.

This happens multiple times per session and is disrupting my trading. Can you help identify the cause and a permanent fix?

In one of the logs we see 75 messages containing this:
2026-06-25 12:28:34.445 | Caught an unhandled exception in c_DTCMessageProcessor::ProcessDTCMessagesWithStandardHeader

Once this is encountered you have to restart but we do not know why it is happening. It would seem as though there is faulty data coming from Rithmic but we do not understand why that would be leading to an exception.

We do not remember ever seeing this before.

We will look over that function and try to determine what could be causing the problem.

Now that we have looked into this. This is next to impossible for us to identify the reason. There could also be a problem in one area of the program causing a problem in another area. Try disabling OpenGL.

Disabled OpenGL as suggested, but the issue persists. Charts still freeze and stop drawing new bars multiple times per session. A full restart of Sierra Chart remains the only fix. Attaching the latest Message Log for reference. Please advise on next steps.

Your latest log does not have the same errors related to the unhandled exception. But, it does show a general connectivity issue with trying to connect to Rithmic. Additionally, there are some of the following in the log:
DTC Client socket (1) | Close event error. Windows error code 10053: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.

With regards to the above error, refer to the following:
Data/Trading Service Connection and Symbol Issues: 1.2. Network Communication or Server Problem

In terms of the general connectivity issues, we want to make sure you are aware that you can not be connected to the same Rithmic account from two different programs/computers. Make sure you are only connecting to that account from Sierra Chart and that you are not connected elsewhere.

Another thing we recommened is trying a different Rithmic server. You are trying to connect to a "Paper Trading" server. Please try to connect to a live server and see if that works.

My chart stopped updating automatically.
The data feed appears to be working fine (heartbeat logs show normal connection).
I can still place and submit orders successfully — the trades are confirmed and visible on Rithmic mobile app in real time — but they do not reflect on the chart in Sierra Chart.
I tried reloading and recalculating the chart — it loads historical data correctly, but it still does not update continuously on its own.

This last log does not show any issues like the previous ones.

Given this, please go through the items at the following link for why the bars may not be updating:
